Probably been mentioned before but anyone else got little lump in their throat when Gordon was begging for his son's life? :o
I was sure Dent was gonna kill him.

Wow, wow wow wow wow wow....

If Heath Doesn't get an Oscar for this i'll put a bomb in the judges stomach.

Heath Ledger, God rest his soul. Did an incredible job. He perfected every line, every laugh. He was perfect. Two Face is great. might of needed a little more screen time but that didn't bother me one bit. I'm soooo glad there isn't no ''Bruce Wayne and Girl friend'' crap. there's a little. not much.

10/10.

just saw this today........

without question.......BEST......CB.....MOVIE.......EVER!!!

the only question now is.....where to next?

I saw the movie last night at a 10:50 showing. Overall it was a great experience except for the fact that my friend brought another friend along who turned out to be very annoying. This guy acted like it was his first time in a movie theater. He basically laughed during the whole damn movie. Even during the slow scenes and intense ones. I was sitting right next to this laughing weirdo and thought I was gonna get my butt kicked by some of the other audience members who kept looking in our direction. I apologize to everyone who had to endure that bizzare experience. Next time I see a movie with my friend again I'll be sure that other guy won't come along.

I did. Heck I thought the boy was going to fall out of Batman's hand. That whole scene is something I never expected in this film. Just the way the whole scene is handled. Dent holding a gun to the kids head is seriously disturbing, and absolutely fits Two- Face.

i must be the odd man out!

i thought the plot was very jumpy & WE COULD'VE SEEN A MORE COMPLEX, more evil TWO-FACE... i mean i didn't buy the potrayal....

i was disappointed

I believe that if the Academy does not award Ledgers performance as The Joker, than the entire Academy Awards is irrelevent.

What was missing? A lot of slow boring shots of Kirsten Dunst, the great momentum killer?

Question:

How did Bruce know that Harvey was in danger while at the party? He simple walked up behind him and put him in a choke hold, putting him to sleep. At that point Commissioner Loeb had been killed and so had the judge. But then again, the sky looked like it was night time while at the party, and daytime/evening when the judge and Loeb got hit....how did Bruce know though? Did Gordon contact Batman..or was Bruce merely responding to his high tech surveillance which probably showed Joker and co coming up in the elevator....?

Your thoughts...

I think that Bruce's tech let him know that there were some unwanted guests.

As for the whole sky looking different. I think it was around the time the sun was setting....so depending where they were in the city some parts would look darker than others. Not bad like the quick sunlight to darkness scene change in Transformers.

Who were the 5 innocent people though? Not including the 6 cops discussed in the holding cell.

One thing that disappointed me was the ending with Two-face. It seemed anti-climatic to me. Two-face shouldn't have died in this film and he wasn't two-face long enough. Either the movie should have lasted for another 15 minutes or the two-face storyline should have carried on into another movie. Also, the ending with Batman as a fugitive is really awkard. I don't know where Nolan could continue the storyline at this point. Batman's reputation may always be tarnished.

Batman has Jim Gordon's cell phone number. Plus there's his surveillance, etc etc etc.

BATMAN KNOWS ALL! :ninja:

Oh, hah I didn't see Bruce tossing his champagne over the balcony the first time, but this time I think I was the only one to see it, because I was the only one who chortled out loud. :o

Seriously guys you have to see this movie TWICE! to take it all in. I went in and watched again and It was a hell of a lot better. This movie is one of the most in depth and clever movie Ive ever seen. Its like they brought elements of the Prestige and memento and brought it into the superhero realm. I went in expecting to catch some plotholes, but there was none, you could see the twisted cop driving dent and Ramerez taking Rachel, it fits so perfectly. I dont know if they can make a third one. I dont know if they should. Its that damn good. Cant wait for the extended DVD cause i know there are deleted scenes. Oh and Two Face is alive IMO

Nice nod to the "Batman doesn't drink" thing.

By the way, the movie FLIES by the second and third times. LOTR feels like long f'ing movies, this did not.

Ah, I see. It's a shame. I still think they should have done it sooner. The film ended and they should have had the screen go black and then say something for Heath, before the credits started. I missed it and a lot of folks left before I did. :(
That reminds me of what they did with Christopher and Dana Reeve at the end of Superman Returns. They rolled it after the cast credits, which IMO was totally disrespectful to the Reeve family.

It's not disrespectful in any way.

Just beacause some people are in too much of a ****ing hurry to get of the theater does not mean that they made a poor choice in placement of the memorial.

It came directly after the initial cast credits and was hard to miss. Hell - everyone in my theater applauded Heath for both his initial cast credit AND the memorial.

This movie was terrible! Batman and Robin was a much better movie!

Hope your right...

I noticed that too, when I saw it the second time. It went by pretty fast IMO, unlike LOTR where you know that you are going to be there for awhile.

You pick up a lot in this movie the second time.

Also...in 89 Batman where Keaton/Bruce reads the police file on Joker describing him as a psychopath, sociopath, highly intelligent murder with an intelligence for chemistry and other sciences.......WAS VERY PROVEN AND EXPLORED IN TDK!

They took Nicholson's Joker and said, " OK...what would happen if we made the Joker younger without any respect for the order of things, throw in some Hannibal Lecture, give him freedom to and power to do whatever, and make him the scariest, yet funny, demented fu***** villian in comic history!!!!!"

AND this is what he got. Even before the movie came out I was hoping that they would let Heath make the Joker closer to a Hannibal Lecture type of villain. A genius, captivating, scary as hell, but intriguing to the point where he pulls you in and you do/but don't want him to let you go.

This is what I hoped for and this is what WE got!!!!

Maybe I missed something but, shouldn't Batman and the woman the joker threw out of the building have died from the fall? I was pretty tired when I saw the movie so maybe this isn't a plothole but, I don't remember Batman using his cape glider to reduce the velocity they were falling at. I can't even remember if Rachel was the woman the joker threw out the window.

For your hack list you need Singer as the first one and Retner, Arad, and a few others should get a pass.
