all say this....and i know i'm more then likely in the minority of one, me. But i didnt think they should of taken "batman" back to the beginning, why? Most fans know the story and i think were happy with Burton's version of the story, it was only the last few hollywood versions of "batman" that totally messed everything up. I would of been more "on board" with this batman if they did a "batman beyond" type theme...just bring it to the future...most of us, the audience..seen batman in the beginning with the joker, catwoman and two face..and now we are being spoon fed with it again..this time someone else version or vision.
Man.... impress me more by taken the story beyond what we already know and seen..like it's been said...bring in new characters that aren't so familiar with the common audience like a "dead shot" or "poison ivy"...for instance.....i mean, i like the idea that they started off "batman begins" with "scarecrow" for a villain, but now we are recycling characters; the joker, now the riddler and catwomen..dont get me wrong i'm glad to have seen ledger's version of the joker it was brillant!!!..but my main "rant" if u will is. These writers and directions to taken the character and story of batman..beyond what we already seen on film.
like the plot beyond "batman beyond" the cartoon was cool...the fact that the batman we all know, and even our fathers know..gotten old and couldnt crime fight anymore...i mean that's believable since he isn't a martian like superman..so to speak....i'm not sayin bring the cartoon into real life action i'm jsut saying....taken it beyond what we already know..
i agree with you about batman beyond, i would love to see a futuristic batman noir in the mould of blade runner. but not yet.
