In what I wrote Scarecrow's fear gas made Harvey imagine that his deformity was all across his face. So in essence his greatest fear was to no longer to be incontrol. So it amplified his already poor mental state.

yeah i saw that. that's a pretty good idea. i could understand that being harvey's biggest fear.

i think the basic idea is that gotham was already riddled with crime. but they had the old-school gangsters. mobsters and stuff like that. and they were always there. but then batman starts taking them down and instead of other normal mobsters taking their place, the more garish villains start to arise. i don't know why there was a change in the mental health of the villains of gotham. but i know that they began to replace the old form of criminals in gotham. that's the best answer i can give you right now.
but it's possible that they feel this is the best way to make a name for themselves. gotham is a big city and batman is well known. so fighting, or even taking down batman will get you fame.

Batman upset the ecological balance.

they already showed Joker being introduced to fear gas and it didn't do anything heh I think thats a pretty solid step

yeah, i've seen someone post those panels. that makes sense. but do think that most villains would actually fear batman? i could see normal criminals fearing him, but i think some villains think of him as a joke

Because Gotham is a fictional city, I wouldn't say there is any verified answer for this. But this question has always bothered about Spider-Man. Is there a reason why Queens is the only city of New York that is infested with mutants and supervillains. Every villain just happens to live in Queens New York...lol

Queens has an abundance of open space. Supervillains need room to spread out. Groupies, hostages, hangers-on, weapons, various nefarious machines (think Doc Ock, Dr. Doom) - they just don't fit in a fourth-floor walk-up. You need serious ROOM. Service elevators. And reinforced concrete floors. That is, if you're going to do any serious super-villainy.

The FF is the exception that proves the rule. They're in the Baxter Building, but they got some serious backing. No villain could get away with that location - too visible. Besides, the neighbors don't even want the FF there, let alone Wolverine. These costumed types give the neighborhood a bad name, but it seems too NIMBY just to throw 'em out.

Thank you, right now I am working on a real short story so I can start applying the ideas. I am aiming for different tones, Clay face is a horror aspect of the Batman where as Riddler is intelligent naturally. But right now I am working on one called Crane Journal 1 I wrote most of it already I just have to draw it, hopefully people would enjoy it enough for me to make more

Yeah, you're probably right but i think that maybe a more accessible action-oriented version would be a viable option for the big screen. Batman trapped in Arkham, die-hard style.
I like your comic, you have a very unique style. But my favourite is still that great creepy Joker you draw.

this would be a great sequence for movie three. throw in some WTF cameos, weird psychos attacking Batman at random e.g. a scaly guy and a little weasel with a top hat. Could even revisit Falcone, Zsasz and Scarecrow. and I beleive the more appropriate movie reference is Tango & Cash

Do the Villians come to Gotham because of Batman? Is Batman the main source for most of them appearing or is this just a coincidence?

Any one have any ideas on this?

Did you read my fanart thing about freeze?

Yes. he needs to keep warm, I like it. My own version of Freeze does away with the cold suit entirely because I couldn't think of a way to make it fit the kind of movie I'd like to see. But it's nice when you can manage to ground something so absurd. I love the fantastical elements as much as anyone else but do think they might obscure the real character sometimes, in certain types of treatments

Ya some times you can't take away the element, such as clay face. Sometimes you can just twist it a little and it would take away the cheesy factor it gives. I always love different interpretations of characters.

Are you referring to Joker in the comics? Because I love that scene. Scarecrow thinks he's going to learn some big secret about the Joker and all he learns is that the Joker fears nothing. Or at least is unaffected by the gas.
