Thank you very very much, I appreciate it so much. But ya I was actually going to have Scarecrow to be one of the later villains to arise so he could experiment on most of the villains and hence when he is fired for some unsavory practices the guys he experimented with are umm free
so perhaps your scarecrow is somwhat responsible for the insanity of some of the villains?

This has been one question that the comics have been toying with for years that has remained unanwered for as long as I can remember.

Do the Villians come to Gotham because of Batman? Is Batman the main source for most of them appearing or is this just a coincidence?

Any one have any ideas on this?

i think the basic idea is that gotham was already riddled with crime. but they had the old-school gangsters. mobsters and stuff like that. and they were always there. but then batman starts taking them down and instead of other normal mobsters taking their place, the more garish villains start to arise. i don't know why there was a change in the mental health of the villains of gotham. but i know that they began to replace the old form of criminals in gotham. that's the best answer i can give you right now.
but it's possible that they feel this is the best way to make a name for themselves. gotham is a big city and batman is well known. so fighting, or even taking down batman will get you fame.

Pretty good answer, i was trying to come up with one but i don't think i can do better, and it works within the "they crossed the line this time" frame.

Good point, it even kind of deals with the idea of escalation. Once you take down one enemy a new tougher one appears which makes alot of sense with what you saying.

Regual mobsters are replaced by madmen.

thanks. yeah, that's the basic idea. escalation and all that jazz.

Because Gotham is a fictional city, I wouldn't say there is any verified answer for this. But this question has always bothered about Spider-Man. Is there a reason why Queens is the only city of New York that is infested with mutants and supervillains.:ninja: Every villain just happens to live in Queens New York...lol

Hey you know what would be cool is if they had a flash back of Bruce's school days at Princeton and there was always this deranged kid (Joker) terrorizing the other students and one time he probably went too far and actually killed someone where Bruce saw and never told anyone hence returning back to Gotham to run away and start his Journey. That could be an instance where the villains aren't only attracted to Gotham but were created long before in some different way.

venture brothers.

Whether it was used it would have still been cool.

well that exact thing wasn't used. but in venture brothers they set up this whole world of villains and heroes. and then later we find out that they all went to college together, and that is when they kind of became what they are today. it was pretty cool.

But it was meant for comedy...and the idea, to me...sounds stupid.

yeah, i don't think the joker going to princeton with batman works either. but yeah in venture bros, for comedy, awesome.

It's not a stupid idea it could work pretty well IMO if done right. It would be just like that Smallville episode where Lex went to school with Green Arrow and he witnessed Lex killing someone and didn't tell anyone.

Then it would a copy of smallville...and venture bros.

There are plenty movies that use reused ideas from other movies and that doesn't mean its a copy of other tv shows or movies that used them. Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.

It just doesn't fit....not in a serious sense.

No need to get immature about it.

Well there's no need to say it would be a copy of shows/movies that have used similiar ideas when clearly it wouldn't be.

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRDDDDD FFFIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHTTTTT!!!!

i'm just messin with ya. i don't like how smallville tries to put all those comics together. yeah well aquaman and green arrow and superman were buddies, and he's always known lois lane. and batman was a hall monitor.

Batman was a hall monitor??? Which episode? WHICH???

You know what I mean. And Choe isn't that hot either Lana is hotter and I don't care what anyone else says.:cmad:

In what I wrote Scarecrow's fear gas made Harvey imagine that his deformity was all across his face. So in essence his greatest fear was to no longer to be incontrol. So it amplified his already poor mental state.
