The Dark Knight The Dark Knight's Rogues Gallery

Me too. And Bad Boys 1. The he tranfsormed into a (IMO) big-budgeted hack.

Ya, he is like a bad version of a movie frank miller. Completely machismo stuff

i ooze with wisdom. among other things.

Egh, unnecessary knowledge!:wow:

Back on topic, though, I never was interested in villains like Killer Croc or the Penguin. After the essentials are done, though, I'd love to see Scarface, Talia Al Ghul and Clayface, though.

i love scarface, i think you could do something very unsettling with that. i disagree about penguin. while there isn't much to go on as far as mental disorders. i think you could do a cool penguin for today's world. he's an arms dealer with an obsession with security and technology. and of course a love of birds. his "fortress," which would be his corporate headquarters that housed his workshop could be guarded by state of the art security technology all modeled, in part, after birds. and he would have all kinds of exotic birds around. perhaps as a child he had a parakeet or something that some bully shot and killed with a BB gun. little pengy set up a sting of sorts to get the kid in trouble and send him to juvi. after that he starts being a stool pidgeon. some kids call him stool penguin because he is fat and he waddles. so he spends his whole nerdy life turning other kids in using devious and espionagish ways. so he eventually goes into security, and military weapons development. and of course on the side he sells weapons illegally. that's where the big money is. that's just off the top of my head though. i'm sure something better with a similar premise could be thought up

croc. well that's a tougher one. circus freak is the easiest route to go. i think we all know about that guy who wants to be a lizard. he has scale tattoos, spiny implants and a forked tongue. i guess you could do something like that, but it would be pretty lame if it's just a guy who wishes he was a croc. but i think maybe a guy with a skin condition. he has hard grayish skin. he was sheltered all through out childhood before something happened with his parents. either they die or they leave him or something. so he lives on the streets from a young age. 6 or 7. he learns to fight. he knows the streets, the knows the sewers, but he never knows...love. okay that's too cheesy, but basically he can barely communicate, having been neglected as a child as it is. he can speak, but not well. he is shy and yet he can fight.

perhaps someone takes him in and uses him as a fighter (like danny the dog, or unleashed for you americans). they file his teeth down and keep his nails nice and sharp and long. so he's a fighter. a mindless killing machine. but deep down he's just a child. a child who knows no other life than fighting to survive. it's a cruel world for the croc.

again, off the top of my head, but something that could work.

I like it, I'll make a response after I finish reading my sinestro corp comic heh

I could see Penguin only as a Scarecrow-in-BB-type villain. With the exact amount of screentime Cillian had, no more.
Croc, yeah, it could work like what you said.
However, my point is I don't find them interesting at all, not that they can't be done. I really don't care about them. Penguin in BR is the only interesting incarnation of him thus far for me.

i understand what your saying, and yes penguin is a secondary guy at best. i used to like him in batman returns, when i was a kid. but now i don't. as i got older i thought of penguin as more of a dignified man. i prefer the burgess meredith over devito for sure. i mean devito looks exactly like penguin, and i bet he could play the penguin i want. but the BR penguin doesn't do it for me anymore. too gross. that's more like killer croc. living in the sewer and all that. and what was with the circus stuff? that's more jokery to me. but, at the very least he was interesting.

Fair enough. Another way out is, naturally, reccuring villains. I mean, if Batman 4 is still set in the Nolanverse and gets a makeover a la Schumacher (I mean reimagining, not going dowhill), they can always recast living villains and bring them back. There's nothing wrong with that.

no, there's nothing wrong with recasting, but i think changing the villain would be wrong. i mean, they are recasting dawes, but she'll be the same. if it's in the same series i think there should be some consistency in the character. but i don't see a problem in putting a new actor in the role, especially if the original actor began getting older than the character was supposed to be. but if nolan keeps making batman movies, i'd like to the same cast for as long as possible.

Penguin is really uninteresting except for the Tim Burton version but that ws still balls. He is a character that requires very little screen time, I think he should be an informant to Batman. But still trying to get out of owing Batman anything.

Killer croc, I think has a lot of potential but all the incarnations are, like penguin, uninteresting. He has a huge tragedy potential and actually I just thought of a story for him muhahahaha to the drawing boards I go!

YEah, I'm saying this only if (and when) Nolan leaves. I can't expect the next creator to share the exact same vision. In the next trilogy, I expect a total makeover (which is exactly what I'm hoping for in the next Spidey Trilogy and don't want Raimi or anybody from the current cast to return. Don't get me wrong though, I loved the movies, except for no3, it's just that the arc is done, let's bring 100% new blood).

ya I hope they just don't keep on doing origin story after origin story

Yes. I may get a lot of heat for this, but regardless the result, Siger got the idea right. Vague sequels are the way to go IMO. His mistakes were 2 for SR, as far as I'm concerned. 1) It was not only a vague sequel, but also too much of a remake. Requelising it was too much. 2)He could have used the old lady's fortune to turn Luthor into a tycoon and a savior of MEtropolis, which in these 5 years that Supes was gone, was full of crimes. It would have also created VERY interestind dynamics between the 2 enemies.
Oh well...

I JUST liked SR and hate X3. But X3 is Rattner, not Singer. Singer is X1 and X2, which I love.

Oh oops wrong guy haha but I still stand by that because I didn't care for the X-men series either

Singer didnt direct X3.

edit: ^^^^^^- Dammit - we must have all posted at the same time -The points already been made.
