How dark should the reboot be for the Batman...I for one want to see him darker grittier still not killing but really messing up criminals.

It should be TDKR animated feature level of dark. TDK & TDKR had moments, but it needs to go further imo. Also Bruce's character needs as rougher treatment. I never believed Bale's Bruce was tortured - he played him as a wounded, sensitive boy. Which is relevant, but a bit 1-dimensional.
