The DC direct thread

Yeah. I don't like that DC Direct is handling these things, because it means that they'll be WAY overpriced.

Which is a shame, as I really like Minimates. I have a few of the DC characters released under the C3 construction set, and would love to add these ones to the list, but I'd rather not pay typical DCD prices for them.

I got real anxious about this thing, until I saw that December 6 date. Oh well, it looks like a definite pickup.

I hope they aren't $8.99 per 2pack like the Street Fighter minimates.

Don't lie, if they were no more than $4 a 2pack you'd have some???

Honestly, I'd expect more. Ten, maybe twelve. This is DC Direct, remember.

I would have bought 2, then realized they were crap. I wish that was the case But no. I buy the Darktide set and wind up with 4 of these things before I knew they were crap.

I guess it's a very specific-tastes thing, as I love them.

One man's trash is another man's treasure... just so long as you don't go through the garbage can to get that treasure.

The real ripoff with the darktide set was the DVD being so damn short

I was a little checked that it was only 9 minutes.

But in Minimates Defense I bought that set thinking (almost hoping) that I would love minimates and want to go back and collect them all.

Sadly another man's tresure was my Trash.

Well, DCD are giving me he Bronze Age Batman I've wanted for years, which is something.

I think this is probably the way forward for DC. Mattel are now making far better generic, articulated DC characters than DCD (DCSH Superman blows MA Superman away), so it remains for DCD to keep producing interesting lines based on old stories, current events in the DCU, and obscure characters.

Wait. NINE MINUTES? Nine friggin' minutes. You're kidding, right?

That Batman is awesome. I love it. If only DCD made scale vehicles. A Batmobile to match would be sooooo great.

But atleast I'm getting that fig. I can't be that greedy.

Yes, it is way better. I really hope the second DCSH Batman comes out the way we've seen the prototype is.

Same, not some rehashed model. :o

Lets hope so.

Man, DCSH should be shaping up alot better now that the Supes wave has been hitting different spots. I can't wait for the next Batman wave

I do too. I'd love for the DCSH line to branch out and give us the entire JLA. Hell, a "JLA" wave would be cool everynow and then with two heroes and two respective villains. Like one wave with GL Hal, Sinestro, Flash and Gorilla Grodd.

Yeah...it's, like, nine Minutes long.

Damn. Nine minutes. That's... if it didn't come with four MiniMates, I'd dismiss it entirely. Now I'm only a little more hesitant about getting it.
