Alright guys, I thought this would be a nice geastures to our cousins over the Marvel boards to express our sympathy for their loss of [BLACKOUT]Captain America.[/BLACKOUT] They are going through some tough times right now so I figured this was the least we could do. So go ahead and leave whatever you want; a short note, a poem, a drawing. Whatever. THe point is to let them know we're here for em.

Dear Marvel Fanboys:

Sympathy for losing a comic character that will come back in about a year? Right.

I wrote a whole eugoly for Cap in my Myspace Blog today. I'm pretty sure I fudged some facts and situations, but it's cool.

Step into the light, where the writing is as tight as the continuity.

DC will make your boo-boos go away.

At least the X-Books don't suck right now.

Speaking as someone who remembers the Death of Superman pretty clearly, I would like to extend a hand across the aisle, as it were. Yes, there's comic book deaths and all of that, but Captain America is as important to the Marvel Universe as Superman is to the DC Universe. He is the capstone, the rock of the entire deal. He may not make as much moeny as the other superheroes, but in his character is the core of the superhero. Captain America, like Superman, is the dream and ideal of everything we as human beings can aspire to be. Losing a character of such importance, even if it is only temporary, is a pretty big, and pretty painful, deal.

I rather we send one to the superman fans, whos favorite character has so many continuity issues.

DC has tight continuity?

Hahahahahahaha. Oh, I love DC, but that's just silly.

So, Supes, what's your origin? I'd love to read it.

Superman: Well...um...uh...yeah.

What about your origin, Wonder Woman?

Wonder Woman: I'll get back to you in 2-7 months.

So I guess I wasn't the only one who laughed histerically at that one.

Well DC used to have tight continuity :(
True :csad::down

To Marvel fans: Yeah, Multiple Earths don't seem so bad now, do they:p?

But in all seriousness, you people still get Joss Whedon. You'll be fine.

And Ed Brubaker!

Poor Marvel fans. I have a poem for your loss....

*clears throat* Oh marvel fans the years have been great. New Avengers, New Thor, New Young Avengers, Same fantastic Four.

But sometimes Things change and not always for the better. Characters die....and some get the shredder.

The comic industry is cruel and Quesada's a Tyrant for killing someone someone so dear etc.......

Well, I suck at poems. At least Marvel fans have that Black guy:wow: .(You know who I'm talkin 'bout)

Well said.

Okay origins aside, the inter-book continuity is really great. The characterization is far better as well.

I think DC will eventually fix things up and then things will be great. It probally was the same way after the Crisis of Infinite Earths. Screwy continuity, a new Flash, a new universe, etc.

As for characterization, that is debateable. Both DC and Marvel put out some great books so I'm not choosing a side here.

You guys are missing the point here damnit!

Please tell me Im not the only sain one here. Caps not dead. Its Marvel death of an A lister is worthless.

he'll be back,by old glory......he'll be back............but god ****ing help marvel if hes a clone.

I hope not. Death should mean somthing and letting a big name like Cap stay dead would be a good step in that direction.

i have no sympathy for cheap and hollow publicity stunts.
