Yeah, I knew about the GL-weakness thing, but I still had to put it in!
And Flash's ability to tap into the speed force does make him sort of unstoppable.
That's the major imbalance between DC and Marvel, the DC charcters (The Justice League most of all) are each so powerful in their own right, that Spiderman and Captain America (god rest him) just don't match up power-wise.
If you're going to fight the entire JL, you really need someone like Dark Phoenix or Apocolypse on your team to help keep it balanced.
I mean the Flash can almost be everywhere on earth at the same time- come on, that's just not fair!

I think that's why some people find DC characters boring cuase the JLA has every power imaginable and they are constantly getting upgrades. How can anyone really beat them?

Why? The second incarnation of Ion was never as powerful as the first. At best Kyle was just a GL with less need to power up. And Bart? Well, fat lotta good being the Speed Force did him, he's dead. Wally's back, and with the exception of the kids, the status quo for Flash is as it's always been.

I'd really like to see Superman-Prime annihilate the entire Marvel multiverse. Not because I like SMP, and not because I dislike the MU. Mostly because SMP could totally do it, and because the screams of pissed off zombies are music to my ears.

Yeah but doesn't the penance stare make you FEEL what they felt? I know Lobo doesn't give a damn about the people he killed but...............feeling what they felt is a whole different ball game. If Galactus can feel the penance stare, then I'm sure Lobo could.

Thing is, Lobo's almost as self-aware of his fictional state of being as the Joker. I really don't think either of those two would give a ****.

Couldn't Superman Prime annihilate the entire DC Multiverse, too? In fact, didn't he start doing just that in Countdown?

Wow. Did not know my opening comments for this thread would hurt so many people's feelings. And, uh, yeah, I do think Superman's victorys in the JLA/Avengers crossover was a popularity contest...not really due to any great power of his own. I mean, yeah, I'm a Superman hater, but I can admit he's pretty dadblamed powerful (and I mean that in a truly southern way.) And uh, I never said comics couldn't be fun and intelligently written at the same time...one of the literary geniuses a page or two over did...

At the time Superboy didn't have any defenses against energy. So yes it would phase him.

Nah, Wendell don't kill. He did however kick their asses so badly, they later committed suicide rather than live with their injuries.

Any GL, even a novice should easily defeat Wendell since the green energy is psionic in nature. The Quantum bands have no power over psionic energies and thus cannot interact with the green energy in any way except as the GL specifically wills. For the purpose of the battle Quasar would effectively have no powers except flight and movement through Quantum Space. Gls also have a much greater array of tactics available: independent replicas, invisibilty, mind wipe, time manipulation, shrinking, and many others.
