Conroy as the Batman of Zur En Arrh?!

Never thought I'd see that happen. I can die happy...for like the fiftieth time, but regardless...awesome.

Bruce Timm just keeps churning them out...

The Los Angeles Times has a first look at Batman: Under the Red Hood, the next PG-13 DC Universe Animated Original Movie after the February 23rd release Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. The article gives some details about the new feature:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Written by Judd Winick and based on his 2005 Batman comics story line, it's Batman versus another vigilante, Red Hood, who doesn't mind cleaning up Gotham by leaving dead bodies in his wake. Animated guru Bruce Timm exec produces this pretty violent look into crime on the streets, and it's directed by "Superman Doomsday" co-director Brandon Vietti, with a cavalcade of stars as voice talent. It all starts with Bruce Greenwood ("Star Trek") as Batman, then continues with "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles as Red Hood, Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother") as Nightwing, John DiMaggio ("Futurama") as the Joker and Jason Isaacs (the Harry Potter films) as Ra's Al Ghul.

If only the company took as much passion in their live action fare as they do the animated stuff.

TBH, I would sooner see more high quality animated stuff because it gives a lot more creative freedom and they don't have to worry about spending millions upon millions on a live action feature and don't have to worry about the ******** MPAA

Greenwood as Batman. Interesting. I was one of the few who actually liked Sisto as Bats in The New Frontier. I'm hoping Baldwin in the upcoming film is at least decent.

Even though you can't beat Conroy, I like the fact that they're trying to distance themselves a little bit and try new things, create new worlds, etc.

Edit: Double post.

By the way, when does Brave and the Bold air? I wanna see that Zur En Arrh episode, and everywhere I look says it'll be on tomorrow, but my Time Warner guide says nothing.

I'm sure Timm is above reproach, and his stories are still good...but the animation...I mean still. If you count Tiny Toons its been 20 years of it. IDK.

Its keept me from seing BB&B.

He did. Well, you saw his back to the viewer but he appeared.

Growing up, Supes was never in the old comic title. He was in the comic book World's Finest co-starring with Bats on a monthly basis. Later on in that book came their sons, Superman Jr. & Batman Jr.

The episode "Super-Batman of Planet X" is available in iTunes, Amazon, and PSN, for those interested.

Cartoon Network provided the following description of the series, as seen below.

Young Justice - In Young Justice, being a teenager means proving yourself over and over—to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you’re not just a normal teenager? What if you’re a teenage super hero? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you’re worthy of the Justice League? That’s exactly what the members of Young Justice — Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis—will find out, whether they have what it takes to be a proven hero. This all-new series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based upon characters from DC Comics.

Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the executive producer. Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman Doomsday, The Batman) and Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, W.I.T.C.H.) are the producers.

More details on the new animated series are slated to be announced shortly, along with new images and content. Additionally, continue to toonzone News for details on other new projects announced during the Cartoon Network 2010 Upfronts.
