I can relate to wanting Bruce to be known as the "only" Batrman.....then again, I am something of a continuity freak......I like the idea of passing the torch....(but to only those individuals that actually deserve it not like that Transitional hero.....um, yeah I'll leave it there.)

According to an interview Wizard posted with Dan DiDio one question touched on all the rumors....

Online rumors already say Batman is going to die—but come on, you’re DC…you wouldn’t kill Bruce, would you?

"I’m not sure where these rumors started from, and I’m not sure what people are talking about there, but we do have a rather exciting series, a big storyline starting within Batman and being written with Grant Morrison called “Batman: R.I.P.” I don’t know if that adds to the confusion or creates answers, but it’s a big story that only Grant can tell. And since Grant is doing Final Crisis and Batman, it’s hard for me to say what the next steps may be."

So what could that possibly mean...could there be a grain of truth in all this Death of Batman talk after all??

What's DC trying to do? Kill all their characters just to bring them back? Isn't that as redundant as reading about a JLA adventure only to have the memory of it wiped out from everyone? What's the point in even buying it if it's not going to be significant???

result: they bring him back

Supergirl has always been a special case(they never bring back the same supergirl)

Robin jason todd well yeah, same goes for Hal.

At least 3 of those made for awesome stories.

I'm glad Hal is back, Jason Todd....meh, i'd be happy either way, but I guess its good to see him again, and Supergirl.....well, I guess that's alright...a little surprising but a nice surprise. I'll never object to reviving a good silver age character (fingers crossed for Barry Allen during Final Crisis)

But Wally's so much cooler. Plus, Barry's just in the Speed Force and he still has his time in the future; he could've paid Wally more visits down the line on his way back to fight the Anti-Monitor that we don't know about. They can bring him back whenever they want without bringing him back.

See, this is one of the things that I"m talking about......I agree with TheCorpulent1 Barry's sacrifice was so monumental and was one of the ones that we readers who ARE Barry fans can live with the idea of Barry Allens death because THERE was so much at stake........why disgrace that?

I know Barry's sacrifice was epic, but it's been over 20 years, I think he can come back now! plus IMO he is by far the best Flash and i'd rather see him in action then dead (Barry and Hal teaming up again would rock )
