Hillary won last night's debate. Anyone who thought otherwise, well...

If she can keep up the composure and sharp jabs during the next two, hopefully, more undecided people will see that orangutan for the charlatan that he is.

Well on one hand Hillary looked knowledgeable and poised, but on the other hand Trump didn't vomit on the stage while talking about his manhood, so it was a draw.

In all seriousness Trump would have been smart to demand that all Presidential candidates were allowed to debate or he would drop out. I think Johnson and Stein hurt Hillary more then they do him and it would gain him some credibility with the we hate Washington as it is crowd.

He was definitely getting frustrated. Maybe by the next debate, he'll finally break down.

Trump won't gain a single new voter if he skips the debate.

They're not going to change the rules of the debate just because Trump demands it. He can boycott the debate, but it will probably hurt him more and makes him seemed weak and ineffective.

Didnt Trump get some rules changed for one of the GOP debates?

I disagree, if he tried to play that everybody who is polling somewhat decently deserve a voice, he does take some moral high ground.

It's win win for him, either the debate commission says no and he can save face not showing up that he took the moral stance, or 4 people are in the debate and it becomes less about him and more the other 2 throwing bombs at Hillary and Him. I think he comes off better in a 4 person debate and he probably could pull it off if was willing not to debate unless the commission gives in.

At this point, anyone who is going to be turned off by blatant racism and misogyny would have been turned off a long time ago.

Anyone who is still supporting Trump at this point is going to do so no matter what, and anyone who is dead set against him is going to continue to be.

The die is cast. As the French say, the carrots are cooked.

The sides are aligned. I highly doubt there's gonna be much fence-jumping at this late stage.

Definitely no fence jumping, but there are still a lot of voters out there to be had.

There's no mention from the Trump's camp that he wants Johnson and Stein to join their debate, and I seriously doubt it's going to happen.

It would likely still make Trump look bad, in a 4 person debate he'd look like the most incompetent candidate out of 4 people instead of only out of 2. Clinton would still look like the most competent and composed option, Stein and Johnson aren't exactly the cream of the crop to begin with.

I think Jill Stein would make Trump look better. If only because she'll go on a tangent about how eating vegetables is a war crime.

I'm not so sure on that. Stein is a crazy conspiracy theorist. And Johnson has gone burnt out pot head. Clinton would still school all three of them, but I'm not so sure Trump would end up at the bottom. It has been shown that he does better in a circus debate.

My guess is anybody who is a "republican first" would do everything to stop him from getting others involved in the debates. That being said I still stand by my belief that turning the debate into a circus with 4 people going at eachother would benefit him. If nothing else it would cut down the amount of time he has to talk.

I think it's to late now to push for this but he should have been pushing for that for the last month(as I said he could have played the moral high ground card)

It's not up to Trump who debates, it's up to the non-partisan organization who organizes them and sets the standards, the ones which both Johnson and Stein fell short of.

Gary Johnson is a former Republican now running as a Libertarian (since he couldnt beat out Romney in 2012) and basically a somewhat less annoying version of Rand Paul. If he's getting votes from anyone, it's going to be Republicans by and large.

Jill Stein is....well Jill Stein. And has never won an election beyond a local one, so she's really not worth mentioning. Most people dont even realize she was the Green Party candidate back in 2012 too and no one cared then.

Well, like Colbert said, "Trump just had to not commit murder. On camera." That's how low the bar was set for him.

Moral high ground is so far away from Trump, he'd pass other planets before he reached it.

Who seems to be the better debater from what you've seen of them, Kaine or Pence?

Samantha Bee is on tonight instead of Monday with a Debate Special.

I agree that he could and should have considered this. But maybe his ego convinced him that he would do fine in the debate.

New Debate Strategy for Donald Trump: Practice, Practice, Practice

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/29/u...n-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0

While analysts from both parties and several focus groups declared Mrs. Clinton the winner of the debate, Mr. Trump tried to claim that title for himself on Tuesday, citing unscientific online surveys, and told his advisers that he believed he had done well in the first half-hour of the 90-minute event.

A delicate approach to the candidate is now in the works. Before his advisers can shape Mr. Trump’s performance for the next debate, on Oct. 9 in St. Louis — which, contrary to speculation, he does plan to attend, a top aide said — they need to convince him that he can do better than he did in the first one and that only a disciplined, strategic attack can damage Mrs. Clinton with voters. Advisers said that Mr. Trump had been prepped to handle Mrs. Clinton’s attacks on Monday but did not effectively execute responses to them.

These new strategies seem quite basic lol.

So even if he prepares, but goes off script ANYWAY when he gets baited, there's really no point in preparation at all then.
