Okay...last I heard about Wallow was from MSJ that in the movie he would be in name only. Was he meaning that only the name would be mentioned. I looked on IMDB and their is an actor casted for Wallow. What does everyone make of this? Here is the guy his name is Daniel Frederiksen.

the report stats that Wallow is a water-demon, so I'm guessing Daniel's going to be getting some screen-time.
i haven't seen too much of this actor on Aussie tv, but MSJ did say Aussie actors will be used, so we'll see how it goes. all the best to Daniel i say. roles reversed i would LOVE to having daniel's career, especially at the moment! :)

I would definatly love to have that man's acting career right now. Of course, I'd like to be the dog poop on this mans shoe right now. Anything to get on that set.

Last reported, there are going to be 3 demons that belong to BlackHeart. I can't remember hearing anything about a water demon, but I do like the sounds of it. Will there be an air demon, land demon or fire demon or heart demon with that as well? Will they combine to make Captain Planet Demon? hehe. I only kid. Elemental demons is a neat idea though.

Oh and yes, Wallow is not the same character as from the comics. MSJ is just using the name because he liked it. The character elements are different, that's what he means.

Wallow is a water demon

These guys have supposedly been cast as demons too, two other Australians. Laurence Breuls and Matthew Wilkinson. I couldn't find any pics of them though. Any clue on what demons you think they will play?

It's hard to tell who they'll play. There is so many to choose from really... let alone the fact that MSJ is inventing his own. I wonder if he'll use familiar names at the very least?

Sadly, i think it is very improbable to have Scarecrow as one of the three lesser demons, because of the "other" sackface in Batman Begins... and it would also be difficult to fit all his background in a decent way in the movie...
Well, Blackheart makes for all:D

also the fact that WB seems to now hold all the card when it comes to the name, Scarecrow. wouldn't that be the case...? that MSJ couldn't have a character of the same name in his film?
anyway, it's a moot point as we haven't heard anything yet about who the demons will be, other than Wallow.

Yeah, sadly Marvel Scarecrow is way more developed than the DC one...
Do anyone knows who came first?

Uhhh how do you know that...do you even know anything about him? The DC Scarecrow is one of the most interesting Batman villains created.

DC:first appearance 1941

Thin and lanky as a child, Jonathan Crane was shunned by his peers and found lonely and solitary comfort in books. As Crane got older, he buried himself deeper and deeper in his studies. He created a disaffected outer persona to hide the hurt and anger within him, releasing his rage only to frighten small, defenseless creatures. Cultivating this interest in fear led to Crane getting his doctoral degree in psychology, specializing in the study of phobias. Fired from his teaching post at Gotham University because of his bizarre teaching methods, Crane instead turned to a life of crime. Taking a cue from an old childhood nickname, Crane became the Scarecrow -- taking his delight in frightening his victims as he steals the wealth he needs to fund his next experiment in terror. One of the most intelligent foes the Batman has ever faced, the Scarecrow is a brilliant, yet twisted, scientist. The Scarecrow's finest creation is his "fear gas," a powerful hallucinogen that brings a person's greatest fears to life. A surprizingly good hand-to-hand combatant considering his physique, the Scarecrow has studied the crane style of kung fu and perfected his own unique fighting style which he calls "violent dancing."

Marvel:1963/64?
Ebenezer Laughton was a naturally flexible, lithe, double-jointed youth who saw a "rubber man" perform at a traveling carnival and became obsessed with emulating him. Training himself almost incessantly, Laughton learned to twist and bend his body into numerous unusual positions and perform various acrobatic stunts. A brief audition of his abilities gained him a job at a live variety show where he billed himself as Umberto the Uncanny. During one of his performances, Iron Man entered the theater in pursuit of a criminal whom he observed robbing the ticket vendor outside. Seeking publicity, Laughton stopped the thief with a simple acrobatic move. As Iron Man carried the criminal away, Laughton realized the potential in his particular skills for illegitimate gain.

After stealing a scarecrow outfit from a costume shop, he chose for his first outing as a costumed criminal, the apartment of wealthy socialite and industrialist Tony Stark. At first attempting to steal Stark's valuables and money, the Scarecrow discovered top secret industrial designs in the apartment and decided to sell them to the highest bidder. This theft led him into battle with Stark's alter ego, Iron Man, but first Stark pal Happy Hogan had a (unsuccessful) crack at him! 'Crow escaped with the assistance of his loyal crows (!). He planned to sell the stolen plans to Cuban agents, but IM popped up and made short work of them, and tossed 'Crow in the drink. As IM trashed the Cuban boat, he turned to see Scarecrow being dragged through the surf by his crows -- to Cuba!! Hmmm...which is worse: American prison, or Castro's Cuba?
After that he became an abitual Captain America villain, slowly turning obsessed by Cap and later by "the fear within everyone" (and within Cap).Became a mad serial killer because of his returning memories of his mother abusing of him when child. But it is against GR that he was really pumped up, as character and as powers. He was chirurgically enhanced (to produce fear inducting pherormones, to get stronger in presence of fear, accelerated healing factor also )
Most recently, he died and became an undead pawn of Blackheart, with the power to "possess" people.

I doubt we'll ever see Scarecrow in a Ghost Rider movie anyway... and for reasons beyond that of him being in Batman.

Thanks for the info InVictus. Was a great read as I've always wondered about those two characters and what the differences were.

Is he a made up character for the movie? Or did I miss something?

Wallow in the later (last issues of GRII) comic book is one of the four spirit of vengeance created by Blackheart, along with Pao Fu, Verminus Rex and Dog Head, to destroy/lure to their command the Ghost Rider... If i remember correctly he was the previous soul of a man who pushed his daughter to suicide or something like that....and still this is somewhat his power as demon.
An interesting character, also in his appearance...some kind of a brown liquid man with only a little mask of a doll on is face.

oh, cool.

but I can't seem to find a picture of him anywhere. Not even on some of the GR fan-sties.

But keep in mind guys ...MSJ has said that the movie Wallow is completely different from the comic character. or in other words WINO...heh (sorry i couldnt resist)

the movie version is supposed to be made of water though so there might be a slight chance the movie version could borrow some aspects from the comic version. we will see

I think it is very possible it retains the "push to suicide everyone" obsession/task... a demon of drowning suicide..

Found this description of Wallow here: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/8713/index.html?200526

Wallow.
Wallow is a creature that thrives on human misery, and causes them to commit suicide. Once he was a man who accidentally killed his wife. Not being able to live with himself he tried to kill his kids and himself, but only succeeded in killing himself. Now Wallow works for Blackheart (see Blackheart) as a spirit of vengeance.

It's very probable. I guess the trenchcoat is the "uniform" of the three demons on earth, to match the "western" style. Still, trenchcoat plus water plus mist= ok for me.

Makes sense to have a uniform for the demons... though I hope there is some variation in them. This western style for the demons seems to work very nicely... though I was hoping for a little more for the demon. Something a little less ordinary. It's only early yet though.

so is Ghost Rider going to have to take down those Demons that are working for Blackheart, it;s not gonna be like Elektra right( those minions she has to fight who were ridouclously stupid)

Yes, those demons will have to be taken down...

... and I too worry that the multitude of villians will eat up too much storyline... or will be rushed (LIke Elektra) taking away from the much needed development. Then again, it might be awesome to just see Ghost Rider kickin' some demon ass.

My thoughts exactly. When two demons start a ruck, the cops had better stay the hell out. I'm looking forward to seeing some seriously hell-acious scrappage (see what I did there?):0

Which one was Wallow? Was that the one dude Wes Bently's playing?
