Age of Ultron The Design & Origin of ULTRON

I am now hearing the rumor that Ultron is built by a female Korean scientist in South Korea. The production intends to shoot there.

Why does Ultron not have a Korean accent?

How do you know James Spader won't pull off a Korean accent? :o

And, referenced earlier, but if the Korea rumor proves true, then "Gangnam style" jokes are 110% guaranteed. (Unfortunately.)

I doubt anyone would intentionally design a robot with an accent. It would speak all language without accent.

Plus, Ultron's AI and Ultron's body are two totally different things.

How does one speak without an accent? Is there such thing as being accentless? Americans often think they don't have an accent, but they do to other people in the world.

If the Koreans designed his AI, they would program it with a familiar voice to them, which is a Korean one. Same with if an American designed it.

*koff* T-800 *koff*

I'm just joking about the Korean accent thing, anyway. If the Korea rumor proves true, it's probably just one factory of many that creates/produces Ultron.....if they go the Ultron Army route, it'll probably be just one mass production factory of many around the world.

Again, I strongly doubt that the suggestion here is that the Koreans create Ultron. They're just one part of the puzzle.

I'm thinking by no accent, he means a lack of obvious inflections related to the language being spoken. And for that, I look at Lopez from Red vs Blue. He was a Spanish speaking robot but didn't have an "accent." He sounded genuinely roboting.

That being said, I'm really thinking it'll just simply be English, James Spader's emotionless voice.

I hoe we wont have an Ultron army

Im sure there will be drones and whatnots controlled by him, but I prefer to see one and only one Ultron kicking the Avengers' asses

It would be pretty Ironic if Ultron would be made in South Korea. North Korea couldn't even make a remotely funtional Iron Monger like Suit... :cwink:

I'm kind of doubting if that rumor ends up being true. Nevertheless, I'd be fine with a design along the lines of his animated counterpart, I loved the look in there. Ultimately, I think it needs to be something unique to the eye to be visually interesting through & through.

Im gonna love when we find out who creates ULTRON. Oh the fun we will have. :)

Why would ULTRON hate The Avengers?....

"An AI overwhelmed with a god complex and a rage toward his creators (plural), who longs to take over the Earth with his own spawn." - wikipedia

1) Wikipedia is peer review. Meaning: ANYBODY can edit the articles. ANYBODY.
2) Whatever "peer" edited that article considers English a second language. Or third, or more-th.
3) That being said, there's not even anything in that statement/article that says that The Avengers are his creators. His creators are not specified, because, like you and me and everyone else, the writer and none of the rest of us *know* who his creators are yet.

As you said, it'll be fun when we all find out who *did* create Ultron.

If Ultron is a creation of Hydra, he could still hate his creators *and* be an apocalyptic threat to Earth that the Avengers must stop. :p

I really really dont expect HYDRA to create ULTRON. I think the entire concept of ULTRON in AOU is that he will be personally connected to The Avengers in some way i.e. an enemy that comes from within. Thats my final take on it until I see the outcome for real. We'll see if Im right or wrong now...

It really is a beautiful robot. I love it.

The red glow: Thats from a thermo nuclear generator inside? Itll be cool to see where the design comes from etc

I wonder if he'll ever get the classic Jack O Lantern face in the movie. I really dig this one though

That's one badass-looking killer robot.

That design is amazing! So much better than the one we saw on-set!
