Hey is it just me or did Punisher not make quite the pop culture impact we all thought it was going to? Seems it came and went with not much impact over people loving Berthal... And most folks already loved Berthal so...

ST has that 80's blockbuster with depth thing going for it for sure. It's mission statement is to leave you with equal thrills, chills and warm fuzzy feelings. Punisher is... it's a much more bitter pill to swallow let's say.

Still haven't watched past episode 2. Everything about it seems well-made, but it seems like the plot revolves around a grand-arching military conspiracy, and... I don't care about any of that. I want him to murder the mafia over and over.

No they did not! I am actually about to watch the PSYCH movie USA put out a few days ago. Ed told me Tim Odmundson actually had a stroke not too long ago and could only appear via Skype in it. Shame. I freaking loved Lasseter and Tim is a great actor. He was hilarious in Galavant.

Punisher was good, but it was slow and very involving with its Military/political storyline. They did a good job modernising the classic Dixon/Ostrander elements of the character with some of the political commentary of Ennis, but yeah, move on from the origin beyond its influence on Frank himself.

After those last few episodes though, I'd have to imagine we'll surely get [blackout]Jigsaw[/blackout] next season. Plus they namedropped the Gnucci crime family enough that Ma Gnucci has to be on the cards as well.
