Didn't feel it was long either.

I don't really have anything wrong with the movie, except maybe I don't feel John Williams pushed the envelope like he did with The Force Awakens (but after all, he did do 8 of the movies now, I would cut him some slack)

I don't really remember much of the score.

I seem to remember the [blackout]Emperor's theme during the bit in the throne room[/blackout]. Then again, I am just getting off an ear infection that knocked out the hearing in one ear for a bit, so... maybe I misheard it.

I dunno, it felt long to me. There was one major section that I wish was just cut from the movie in general. I think it would improve my view of the movie greatly.

I think that same section is the one I thought was a big fat waste of time. Still I went in knowing it was 2.5 hours and got there 40 mins before that and still it surprised me when we were already at the end.

He basically does one or two new themes/motifs per movie now, and the rest is just reworked classic themes. But that's enough, imo. He's essentially retired, so I'm just grateful he's finishing out this saga. I like Giacchino, but based on his work on JW and Rogue One, he is NOT a satisfying Williams replacement. I don't think there is one.

Other than the main theme for Rogue One, I thought Giacchino did fine. But I did not like that main theme :P

Oh I don't remember but will listen out for it next time. That scene was really good.

It was a good movie, don't get me wrong. The highs definitely outweighed the lows. The major high of [blackout]Luke staring down the First Order[/blackout] pretty much does that on its own.

The score had its moments, but that main theme really did suck, imo. When I saw RO with the family, my stepdad actually commented on how crappy the score was, and he never comments on things like that, lol.

I liked how they took Kylo [BLACKOUT]in the complete opposite direction from Vader. Luke believed there was still good in Vader and that he could be redeemed and Luke was right. Rey believed there is still good in Kylo and that he could be redeemed and she was wrong. Just like Vader, Kylo killed his master. But it was for the Sith kills his master reasons rather than the went back to the good side so he kills the bad guy type of reason that Vader had in Return of the Jedi.

Also, Episode 9 will definitely be suspenseful now that the entire Rebellion is small enough that they all fit inside the Millennium Falcon.[/BLACKOUT]

*nods*

I liked all that too. And how generally more mature Kylo became compared to the tantrums he did in The Force Awakens (though I liked those too, but it's better he grew away from that)

I really enjoyed it but it had some unnecessary dumb stuff and quite a few lesser characters who didn't add much for me.

Like Reek's Xmas dinner?
I run from no man.
I run from neither man nor Reek.
I run from no Reek.

I will find you. I will flay you... then I will let you live... just to show the world the shame you brought upon yourself. I will curse you. All things you eat will become ash. All things you drink will become urine.

And that's just day 1 of the 12 days of Reekmas for you.

Do as Cell says....

RUN.
As long as I still have Netflix and an internet connection?

Well, of course. I'm not a monster.

Though you did kill those two Gautamalan children and passed them off as Oscar Isaac's brothers.

I did no such thing. that... that was the one armed man.

The marital contract was a sham. I read the small print. Emphasis on the "small".

I thought it was supposed to be blue. :p

I've taken both pills... Roose found me in Moscow screaming at chestnuts... calling them 'lazy'.

Always wondered what happened if you took both pills.

I've taken all manner of colored pills. The key thing to remember is to wait at least 30 mins so they kick in before deciding to take more. As for taking a red pill and a blue pill at the same time I would venture a guess that it would be similar to taking uppers and downers which means it would be a bad time.
