Thanks, I'm certainly relieved. I got spoiled a little bit just days before I saw it while modding that forum, and the spoilers didn't sound great on paper so they had me worried. Thankfully it was all for naught as I thought they worked beautifully in context. Rian just speaks my cinematic language, I guess, as even his more off-the-wall choices and ideas always work wonders for me.

I think one of the major problems with the "spoilers" was they were being interpreted by people who seemed determined to hate some of the decisions made. It was bad here, but TFN is a disaster. I just couldn't take it over there anymore. Haven't been on since seeing the movie. Happier for it.

Yep, they were definitely deliberately worded to sound as terrible as possible.

I'm completely indifferent to Star Wars and didn't have any plans on seeing TLJ in theaters but the mixed reception amongst certain fans intrigues me. This definitely feels like an Iron Man 3 situation and I happen to really like Iron Man 3.

I haven't been a true fan since I watched STAR WARS: EPISODE IV (this was before they added A NEW HOPE to the title) 20 some times at the theater back in 1977. Yep....I hated the franchise.
