Guardians of the Galaxy The Easter Egg Thread (Guardians Edition)

Watching it again I'm 2 minutes!!! Gonna look for all easter eggs including what I thought was Beta Ray Bill.:woot:

Apparently [BLACKOUT]Howard the Duck[/BLACKOUT] is mostly there to draw attention away from [BLACKOUT]Adam Warlock's hatched cocoon[/BLACKOUT]!

Anyways I love this minor, and major expansion of the Marvel Universe and I can't see how anyone can complain about an after-credit scene following the snoozer included with IM3.

I'm still wondering how the hell The Collector got Beta Ray Bill in a glass cage. That's if it is Beta Ray Bill in there.

I watched it again for a 3rd time yesterday (yeah, it's even better. Lol. ) with a keen eye for Easter eggs. I noticed the scene ton in the opening montage that resembled a half horse/human. I also seen a person with a red cape in the collectors den and all I can think of was beta ray bill.

Yeah, I too saw the large, hulking bald alien with the red cape, who had his back turned to us. My first thought was Beta Ray Bill, and I haven't seen any alternate suggestions.

I don't know if this counts as an Easter Egg but the guy who played the Broker is the "Don't kill me man!" thug from the beginning of Batman 89. And that is awesome.

Chiaturi
Beta Ray Bill?
Howard The Duck (not in post credit scene, in cage when we first see collecter)
the scene with the collecter has a bucketload of easter eggs!!

That's my pet theory and it kinda makes sense in that look at how many people are talking about Howard and how few seem to have noticed the cocoon.

Just noticed another one from re-reading DnA's run today. When Star-Lord gets arrested, his name is listed as 'Space-Lord', a name prison inmates keep calling him when he gets thrown in prison in the comics.

I saw it a 3rd time specifically to look for it and I STILL didn't see it. Lol. I suck

Lego Movie Easter Egg:
1. Description of the Plan Scene was sequenced the same way as the Description of the Plan Scene from The Lego Movie

Puny God Easter Egg:
1. When Groot was bashing the guys on the Dark Aster with his branches, by smashing them around, it was a reference to the Puny God scene from The Avengers, where Hulk was throwing and smashing Loki around

I think that's a stretch, it was just Groot smashing bad guys :funny:

I do love the cocoon misdirection, it's so clever

According to Gunn, the Dark Elf in the Collector's lair is played by Doug Jones.

That's funny...

When I saw the movie, after this particular scene, I said to my wife "That's the "Puny God" moment of the movie"...

lol

:yay:

or they just expand his role. A 'The outrageous adventures of Dark Elf Bill on his way home from Knowhere to Svartalfheim' One-Shot maybe

Doug Jones was also the Silver Surfer in the second F4 movie.

MAYBE THIS IS A SIGN THAT SILVER SURFER WILL BE IN GOTG 2! IT HAS TO BE!!!!

Or not.

F***ing Fox.

Doug Jones was also the dude Drax put a knife to so he could send out his message to Ronan. I think. Maybe?
