The Expendables 2 - Part 2

I would be all for them dressing like their iconic movie characters... terminator, rambo, john mcclane wearing a wife-beater...

This might have been answered already, but are Willis and Swartz just cameos again or actually starring in it as well?

We're not sure. Save for the fact they'll be taking part in the final battle of the film. So definitely more than last time, but they wont be in the film as much as the actual Expendables themselves, or Van Damme.

arnold needs more time; i'm betting he'll be in good shape soon now that he's not governor.

Time is unfortunately not in his side. Unless stallone is hooking him up with that HGH it's near impossible to build significant muscle in your mid 60's.

And that old pig's valve that he's got attached to his ticker doesnt exactly help either.

Either way Arnold looks a lot tougher than most 60 year olds thats for sure.

I agree! I mean he still looks mean! It's just like Eastwood...he is like 80 and still looks he can beat you up! specially in Gran Torino...

I rewatched the original for the first time since seeing it in theaters. It's still a fun film but it feels like so much more could've been done with it. Not enough time with most of the supporting cast and the digital gore looked awful. But it still delivered in the action department and it's fun seeing so many Action legends together in the same movie. I can't wait to see the Director's Cut, which I've heard is better.

I'm excited for EX2 again, seeing the new still as well as the news it's been confirmed to be rated R.

It might just be a coincidence, but the first thing I thought of when I saw Arnold in that new pic was how much he reminded me of the Terminator.

That was pretty much the reaction to the trailer. You just hear the guys go, "No way" and the testosterone levels shoot up.

Hemsworth's quote in EW was pretty funny about Van Damme kicking him. "Van Damme accidently kicked me and it was pretty much like a present. It was the greatest kick I could ever receive."

Chuck Norris looks exactly like he did back in the 80s. perhaps those internet rumors are true afterall.

I'll forever shed a tear that Arnie, Sly, Dolph and Jean Claude (the only guys I consider to be the true 'muscled-up, over-the-top 80's/early 90's action stars) never got together for a movie while they were all in their prime.

After seeing this pic I can't believe that Van Damme was remotely considered to play the Predator in P1 against Arnold's character. I mean, who the hell came up with that lame idea? Good thing we got KPH who kicked ass as the Pred. :)

IMO Arnold was in the best shape of his life for Predator.

I know what you mean. JCVD rocks in my book but I can't see him as the Predator. I wouldn't have minded seeing him as a character in a Predator sequel, though.

Hmm... Universal Soldier Vs. Predator? :woot:

JCVD hadnt established himself at that time though; he was just an relative unknown waiting for his big break who had been brought in for some stuntwork, which incidentally he said was unsafe [and therefore left the production] before they redesigned the Predator and brough Kevin Peter Hall in.

Arnie was in great shape for Predator alright. Though if you watch the start of the film and then flick to near the end, you can notice he has lost some mass - he had severe food poisoning and sickness pretty much all through the shoot.

Yeah, it wasn't until 1988 with Bloodsport he started really getting on the radar. Then he followed that with movies that made him much more notable like Kickboxer, Double Impact and Universal Soldier.
