Wait, there were no f-bombs? I didn't even realize it because of all the awesomeness that was surrounding me.
There were other curse words in the film. Plenty of them. Personally, I dont think cursing makes a film any better.

I had the same thought about Bruce Campbell the other day but then they can't add everybody.:csad:

The helicopter in Statham's last fight. Did anyone else think it looked a lot like Airwolf?

Same here, I thought there was a ton of swearing, but maybe no f-bombs?

They said the s-word a few times and maybe some other minor ones, but no "hard" swear words, really.

lol s-word, f-word....I feel like I'm in grade school again.

Canadian film ratings are so different from the US. Its rated pg-13 while pg-13 movies are rated pg. :)

Australia's different again. U.S. PG-13 translates to M, which means 'recommended for 15 years and older'. If you're under 15 you can still get in. MA is 'restricted to 15 years and older'. That's probably similar to America's R. Our R is '18+'

I'd really like to see them get Clint Eastwood for the 3rd... think that would be classic

If Hollywood adopted our ratings system, things would be a lot easier.

I didn't mind not hearing any curse words. I guess the carnage made up for it.

I remember reading a article that stated Jet Li didn't want to return for the 2nd film, Stallone actually convinced him just to come back for that opening scene so that they can write him out instead of just mentioning why he ain't there... It's cool though, at least we know Jet Li can return for the 3rd film or whatever!

Unless part 3 takes place in China I don't expect to see Jet Li again.

This movie worth catching in theaters? Enjoyed the first one.
Does seeing this answer your question?

That part was epic. It was also loaded to the max with cheesy lines. lol. Even moreso than the rest of the film. But man was it cool to see those guys shooting together!

I still say VD needed to be in the film more often.

Loved watched the fight scene clip of VD vs Sly on Leno Tuesday night. So awesome. It was edited a bit for tv. It didn't show the second 360 kick or VD's Scott Hall finger thing. When he does the fingers thing mocking that he is scared of Sly. Loved it when VD is says 'come to Sly and he does the hand motion...then gets his ass whooped. It's like his character knew he get killed and knew he would only get so much in...

That scene with Sly, Arnold and Bruce all standing side by side was definitely a high light for me. Seeing them blast through the glass and all three standing there gave me chills.

Yeah, that's when my face became this :awesome: for the rest of the film.

saw this last night...

wow, what a major disappointment... I really liked the first one but just could not get into this one at all for some reason, though it was pretty cool seeing Sly, Arnold, Bruce, Chuck, Dolph and Jean-Claude all together in one film...

I just walked out of this at the end shaking my head and going, "what the f**k was THAT?!?"...

I really wouldn't recommend spending the money and wasting the hour and a half...

and that's too bad, as I was really looking forward to this...

I freakin' loved this movie! It felt very much like a sequel but still honored that 80s style of action movie. Obviously the first one will always be my favorite, but this one was pure gold in my eyes.

[BLACKOUT]Jason Statham/Scott Adkins fight was really great. Like others, I wish the Sly vs JCVD fight was longer, but it was still brutal and made my inner fanboy smile from ear to ear.[/BLACKOUT]

but it WAS funny when Arnold told Bruce, "I'll be back" and Bruce replied, "you're ALWAYS coming back"...

and then Arnold retorts, "yippy-ki-yay"...

priceless...

This movie was full of awesomeness.

The references to old franchises, one-liners, and over-the-top action completely sold it for me. The cinematography even made it sort of look like an 80s/early 90s movie with that grainy washed-out look.

Loved JCVD the most and he was a great villain!

The only thing I have to complain about is that I would've preferred more hand-to-hand fights to balance out all the gun-shooting. Especially since there were 3 martial artists in the movie (Li, Norris, JCVD). I was seriously let down by Li's screen time but that frying pan fight was indeed awesome. Norris should've done his trademark roundhouse kick at some point! I wanted more Norris too, he wasn't in the movie enough. I know these guys are old but in the movie world they can make anyone physically kick ass! (Like Liam Neeson, for example.) :oldrazz:

And the PG-13 rating totally sucked. This needed an R-rating. When Arnold stole Bruce Willis' line in the airport shoot-out, that line just felt wrong without the "motherf*****".

Can't wait for an EX3. Bring on an eye-patch-wearing Kurt Russell and I'm so there!

maybe this series can just keep going, even past the time Stallone has to hang it up. Let Statham run the show, then, and keep bringing in guys like The Rock, Vin Diesel, Tony Jaa, Ray Park, and maybe randoms like Rampage Jackson (I mean, really, who saw Couture coming?).

Is it because of the date that this hit theaters that the opening BO for the movie was lower?

I know it pretty much hit the forecast.

right now, it says that the 4-day BO is $7 million behind the original. I am hoping that positive word of mouth and repeat customers can help cover that gap (even though I can't afford to go more than once). We shall see.
