Jett gets in debt, gambling..held captive and tortured. The boys have to do a raid on the biggest, and most corrupt, casino ever..ran by Cage. Huh? Huh? :awesome:

I like it, it's like Ocean's 13 on coked up steroids.

Man, totally forgot about Adkins in the Undisputed films. How on earth could I have done that? Bokya is awesome!!!

I've only ever seen Adkins in Wolverine as Deadpool, so I hope for a bit more of him in E2, the fight he had with Statham was great while it lasted, but it was too damn short, I know the guys reputation so surely they could have used him more.

Yeah, Black Dynamite himself, Michael Jai White (who interestingly enough was also in one of the Universal Soldier films - actually thinking about it, he was in both the first and second UNISol movies).

Check out Undisputed II and III (He's no in the first, but it's a good film all the same). He earns his reputation and then some.

He'll also be seen in Zero Dark Thirty. Sadly not as the guy who pops Bin Laden.

As someone who didn't think much of the first one, I thought this was a vast improvement. The storyline overall seemed tighter and the entire expendable crew seemed to get decent screen time instead of disappearing for half the movie (Jet Li withstanding).

Things I liked:

- Jet Li's kitchen fight. Better than the entire first movie. Makes me wish he stuck around.

- The fake New York dinner scene. Nice show of comraderie.

- Liam Hemsworth. This is my first time seeing him act, and I thought he brought a nice touch to a disposable role.

- JVCD. He was great in the last fight. Loved his taunts.

I didn't really care for Chuck Norris. He didn't really come off as bad ass to me and I didn't buy into his whole lone wolf bit. And as much as I loved seeing the big three shooting guns together, it felt a little contrived that Trench would know they were trapped in a mine and Church would have a sudden change of heart.

Lastly, I thought it was funny how Ross brings out the severed head at the end, and then just drops it on the ground and walks away. I'd hate to be the guy that finds that.

I Inferred that Church was tracking the team and that it was he and Trench that got them out of the cave together.

JCVD was great in the end? He had two kicks which I'm pretty sure it was the same kick just put in twice. Other than that he sat there and got destroyed by Sly.

I swear in the ending fight they re-used the same jumping kick and Sly knockdown shot twice in a row.

Ah, but that in itself could be another one of the movies self-referencingl
deals - go and look at some of Van Damme's classics (I'm thinking A.W.O.L. aka Lionheart in particular here) and see how many of the same kicking shots are shown over and over from different angles in the end fight scene agaisnt Atilla. :oldrazz:

I meant JCVD was great in his taunting. Loved his trash talk to Ross.

I saw it again last night and just loved the movie, enjoyed it more this time and I knew were I would be dissapointed, still great fun though, hope they get to make a 3rd.

Does this film have a lot of territories to still open? Because the Box Office is pretty bad so far.

It's not self referencing, its lazy filmmaking. At first I thought JCVD was doing a Bane type thing where he was going to let Sly pummel him and then destroy him but nope not even close. One of the worst fights I've ever seen.

Or maybe just maybe (if you ever saw JCVD's fly on the wall doc series) its because he can no longer perform his trademark kicks without it causing him extreme pain due to bone deteriation. He did what he could and they got the most out of it.

It might be that. I think a lot of people were going into this film expecting to see these stars in their prime or something, not realising they are old and past it now.

hope so because its not makin the kind of money the first one did.i dont think we will get a 3rd at this point.they both openned in aug so thats not the reason this one has a bigger budg dont think it will hit 100mill domestic

No, I went in expecting to see a good fight between the two. And I got an awful awful fight. If he can't do the kick which is fine than either have a stuntman do 2 different kicks or just don't do it. Don't give me the same kick back to back, its lazy. That whole fight was lazy, and crazy disappointing given the talent involved.

Well considering all of that I think he did very well to do what he did. I did think the fight was a bit one sided, but yeah these guys arent getting any younger.

I have to see this again. I remember the first kick was enough to knock Stallone down. There was more back and forth exchanged. I know JCVD uses a stunt double but he doesn't seem that broken down. He still does most of his fight scenes.

Not sure id he's joking but Jean Claude says he could return in Expendables 3. http://movies.uk.msn.com/exclusives/jean-claude-van-damme-i-like-to-be-next-to-stallone
