okay. This movie needs to not happen lol

I am a bit dissapointed West isnt back, his direction of the action scenes was great in the sequel, kept the camera steady and we could see everything. I was hoping he would return.

Never seen or heard anything about this new guy.

Just like the hype to have people bashing something without them even having any knowledge on the matter.

^I can understand people showing a bit of hesitancy with a rookie director, but yeah judging the movie already is a bit much, The rookie director is a worry for me, as it would be with any other franchise, but he could make an amazing action movie. Either way, it will be interesting to see.

I really wish they'd gotten Gibson on board or else Sly just directed the movie himself.

I'll be significantly less enthusiastic now, but I'm sure the movie will be fun.

Well if anything, Stallone will be there for support.

I mean, not saying he's Coppola or anything, but the guy's got serviceable directing skills.

I agree with you and I'm on the same page as far as them going with a rookie director. But with many other large franchises now new fresh directors are handling much larger franchises than Expendables and so far the results have been good.

I'm more worried about who they decide to cast in this, as long as the director can give us amazing action sequences that's all that really matters, the rest is up to the script.

Sylvester Stallone Offers Updates on The Expendables 3

As he has done previously, Sylvester Stallone has revealed some more information about the upcoming The Expendables 3 via his Twitter account. Stallone confirmed that Mickey Rourke will return for the film and that he's spoken with actor Wesley Snipes about joining and he reportedly "Can not WAIT to fight to the top again!" In addition, Stallone further teased that Jackie Chan would be joining the cast in a tweet saying "What's the plan? Ask Jackie Chan...."

Stallone also said they're looking at last year's action film The Raid: Redemption - he says he believes The Expendables 3 "can do better." Stallone also teased that he's thinking of "raiding The Raid" - could some of those actors jump to the film?

Topping the Raid? that's gonna be hard to do unless if you hire Gareth Evans to direct or their stunt coordinator.

Maybe its just me, but everytime I read a Stallone tweet, I read it in his voice.

Topping the Raid? hahahahaha not with the awful cast they have. And if they go get some of the guys from The Raid just for one or 2 Raid like fights than just no ugh awful. I'm judging this movie is going to be awful because the first two were ridiculously bad

So you're just trolling the thread then?

Topping The Raid isn't hard, it wasn't that good. Topping Dredd would be a bigger feat.

Always at least one in the woodwork.

Glad Rourke is back!,Will the film be inspired by Raid in action or story..or both??,The Expendables are stuck in some place and they have to fight their way out by going through other mercenaries or militants!?

I'd like the sound of something based on Anabasis (basically The Warriors) where they are deep in hostile territory.

I suppose Stallone could help assist the director.
