World The Extra Section

I was going to get a 360 the other day but THWIP said it might be a good idea to wait for a better deal.

I cut myself with a pair of scissors today -- not a good idea for a clutz like me to be around sharp objects -- and while the cut isn't big, it keeps bleeding. Grr!

Awww poor Squeeks :(

Hope you can stop typing for a couple of minutes to bandage yourself up properly. :)

I've been going through band aids. It's not like it needs a stitch, it's just in a bad place. It does seem to be finally calming down. If I had wanted to give blood today I could have just gone to hospital, you know? :p

Hope it's all better now. :oldrazz:

Another busy day for this thread. Lets hope it can withstand the pressure for a while longer.

Hee! I had a busy morning. I had a filling replaced so one half of my face is numb and I went to get my comics this morning. Two books. Geez, what a slow week. I think I'm getting 6 or 7 next week. It's never an even spread. :D

I've always historically got a ton in one go rather than one at a time.

btw You're picking up a fair amount of injuries at the moment. :(

My brains hurt. My eyewax went inside my eye when it was supposed to go OUTSIDE it and I, unfortunately, blinked while the hardened eyewax was still inside it.
Sorry, that was random.

That can't be too good for you. Are you now blind?

The only real injury I have is my mishap with the scissors yesterday, the numbness from my filling replacement is wearing off though, finally. I was trying to eat a little something and was drooling like an old maid. :p

*wonders vaguly what eyewax is. * Sleepy seeds? :p

My keyboard's Braille.

But what is the POINT of making Braille keyboards if their users can't even READ what's on the screen? Granted, they might have specifically made audio system for every post on every message board, but it's doubtful.

It's the eye version of earwax, but that IS a more descriptive term. :yay:

I don't know how braille works. Is there any difference to the feel of the keys?

Ok, go and touch your toilet seat. And then go touch a peeler. That's really the best example I can give you. The blind people are just trained to read Braille with their hands. I tried identifying Braille language once in the past, but it was a failure. I couldn't even tell the difference, let alone read.

Blind people just have heightened sense of touch. In more appropriate terms, experienced sense of touch.

Should I read this being about 6 months behind on all books? Will it spoil anything?
No, it's not necessary at all. That's not what I was indefinitely asking. Just some brownie points.

My work needs not ignorance, but satisfaction.

One of my cousins is almost totally blind (gradually gets worse). He came to our house for the second time a few months ago after about 8 years (he was about 9 at the time). He could remember his way around everywhere without any help! :wow:

Blind people tend to have fantastic memory. Look at it this way. Their minds are their eyes.
