The Family Dynamic

I'm still working my way through the Morrison trades. I digs the Doom Patrol, but they don't hold a candle to the FF. The Waid/Ringo run was some of the best comics i've ever read, and i've read some damn good comics.

Yes, and the reason is called "popularity and profitability." The FF are more accessible and interesting to pretty much 99.99% of the planet, which includes people who actually read comic books. This isn't some up for debate, "oh people are stupid and will always buy trash" logic; this is looking at the iconic namesakes of one of the most recognized superheroes on the planet versus a team absolutely no one can even name the members of and hasn't had a series for three years. When was the last time you bought a Doom Patrol book?
First of all, you haven't really made much of an argument. You've just said, "they're better because they're more popular." You write me off as "oh people are stupid and will always buy trash" logic, but you don't refute that logic. Popularity does not equal quality. It may be an indicator of accessibility, but accessibility also does not equal quality. In most cases, it just means watered-down.

The last time I bought a Doom Patrol book was when I started trying to collect as much of the Doom Patrol as I could. I've loved every run. I've enjoyed almost every issue. Including the Byrne series.
