The Fast and the Furious: Hobbs and Shaw

The first Fast and The Furious was fine even though it was just a remake of Point Break with cars.

I can't remember a thing about 2 Fast 2 Furious. It is probably the least memorable movie in the franchise.

.

I remember the harpoon that shut down the car's electrical system to capture and wonder why they never tried it in the series again. Ludacris made adding a rapper after Ja Rule's cameo in the original something every movie has done since. Oh and Eva Mendes at her physical peak.

This is Idris Elba's first villain role since The Losers.
Helen Mirren did both RED sequels.
Charlize came from *checks filmography*..."humble beginnings"... :crso:

Its not like The Rock had the greatest career starting out remember his first "big" role in The Mummy: Returns ?

Filming has begun. Statham's going it alone at the moment. Dwayne starts in two weeks.

I assume he’s finishing up Jungle Cruise and then heads straight to this one. You have to wonder how this guy finds time to actually learn the script and get into character for his roles, assuming the character just isn’t “be Dwayne Johnson”.

And yet there are rumors for whatever reason of a return to WWE.

Hobbs isn't really a character I imagine Johnson needs to get in character for. Most of these big blockbuster rock roles just require him to play versions of himself.

Johnsons character on ballers is more reliant on his acting skills than his charisma.

I worry to that due to Dwayne working as much as he does that he may not have a lot of time for his family as he'd want and may regret it once his kids have grown up, looking back on his life. I think every man should find a good balance in life of work and family time. Dwayne no longer has to worry about his kids financial future, so why not take a year or two off and just focus on family a bit. It's a hard balance in Hollywood it seems

To quote Han from Tokyo Drift: Life’s simple. You make choices and you don’t look back.

This is a rather large assumption.

I am more excited for this than any upcoming fast and furious film. Looks like this could be a heck a lot of fun!

It's a rather large assumption, but I'm inclined to agree. Dwayne pretty much rolls out at least two or three films a year at the moment, and that's between him working out. I've seen his fitness regeme, some days he's training up to three times daily, even if it is only 45 minutes per, you've still got to give yourself time to warm up, cool down, shower, change or whatever, and then get to film sets which are long hours.

It's amazing what he does, and that he does it, but as stated above, there's going to come a time (I think) when he'll look back and realise that maybe he should have slowed his schedule down. He's going to burnout before long, and whilst I can appreciate that he wants to remain involved for as much (and as long) as possible, taking a few months off a year can't hurt his career now. He's made his name, and that'll stick. He's earned a break.

How many days do you think actors are on set for these film productions? Is there any indication that the Rock's work schedule is an issue for him or his family? If not, this is a very weird reading of a situation brought on by really random speculation.

Collider is reporting that Eddie Marsan has joined the film in a “small but significant” role.

Ill give this a look.
F & F films are to me basically like transformer movies that don't get you angry.
I don't know if I'm explaining myself.
Like, bad, but not bad bad.
Succesfully fun bad.

More than you might think actually; we're talking months at least, and long hours, and in his case, that's two or three times a year.

I'm not saying he doesn't get time to spend with his family, only that he always seems to be working, or working out, and it's amazing he has any free time at all.

God I can't wait to see the action in this thing.
