What else was awesome about WCW's World Cup Tournaments cross-overs?...This game

It featured a NJPW roster!

Played and owned this game before I even became a wrestling fan. I always picked the ninja dude (I think his name was Hyabusa)

WCW vs The World and World Tour had fictional Japanese wrestlers from fictional promotions but they were based on real Japanese wrestlers,people like Hayabusa were in but had a different name

I remember playing Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 for the 64. That was like WCW Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF No Mercy for 64 all combined in one. You had wrestlers from NJPW, and AJPW including even the likes of Kamala and Vader on it as well as MMA fighters which I assume was during the time when Inoki starting trying to have more MMA fights take place in NJPW.

Rewatched it on The WWE Network (#ShamelessPlug). My God, what a match. Had the tag team titles been on the line, it would've been perfect.

Jericho mentioned in his latest podcast that his next book comes out in October. He said his feud with Shawn Michaels is covered extensively. It was his favorite feud.

I met Jericho back in 2011. When I asked him what his favorite match was, he couldn't decide between WM 19 or the ladder match with Michaels at No Mercy 2008.

Personally, I prefer the ladder match. Its my favorite of all-time when it comes to that gimmick.
