I always think "PG" when I think "body horror."
PG? That's certainly surprising.
Didn't Teller flat out say that this movie "isn't for kids"?
It went from R to PG after they locked Trank out because originally Ben went Dr. Manhattan.
Canadian PG, which is a different rating metric. IMDB tells me it's PG-13 in the US.
There is a piece of CGI very visible in Dr Manhattan not present in The ThingWhat do you mean? He's still going Dr Manhattan, unless suddenly they've CGI-ed a pair of pants onto him.![]()

Canadian ratings tend to be a lot more lenient than American ones.
It isn't always the case, but I tend to find that in general it works out like this:
American PG = Canadian G
American PG-13 = Canadian PG
American 'Soft' R = Canadian 14A
American 'Hard' R = Canadian 18A
American NC-17 = Canadian R
That would be for Ontario anyways. I think each province gives out their own ratings, but I could be wrong.
Nice to see America to lagging pathetically behind other countries when it comes to a logical movie rating system.
Will there be any boobs in this movie? Just my luck they would probably be invisible.

I SEE SPIDEY said:Another amazing sign of quality. Man this truly will be the next Fury Road.
I need some good news about this film, I'd love some good news about it but all of the news is bad. I'm not one to just be a negative nancy for no reason, I want a sign that this film will not be complete dog****.
I've been saying that for over a year. I don't hate this movie based on principle or because I hate FOX or anything I like that. My problem is that I haven't seen ANYTHING good. From the odd casting choices to bizarre choice in tone to the behind-the-camera problems to the poor trailers to the 20 years out of date VFX to the embargo to the short runtime, EVERYTHING is a bad sign. That's why I'm so pessimistic about this film.
This is a perfect, concise summary. Each step of the way I've been hoping for something good and each step of the way they've let me down.
There's no single, major component of this film I like.
At 100 minutes run time and that soundtrack listing, Doom will probably only be a villain for 15 minutes.
No. There was a boob behind the camera, though.
If I had been optimistic, I'd have totally dropped that optimism when I found out about the embargo. I don't get why anybody is still on board after we learned of the embargo.I've been saying that for over a year. It blows and I don't want the film to be poor but the studio is screaming that their film sucks and some are ignoring it because they want to be right.People here know I was optimistic. They also know that I'm greatly disappointed. The embargo just crushed any last shred of hope I had.
I didn't know that about the rating system being different in Canada. That's certainly interesting though.
