THE FLASH - 2016 can't get here fast enough!

I can't see Baz Luhrmann doing a CBM, I don't know if he has it in him to do action set pieces that a CBM requires. Also I'm not a fan of his visual style, too glossy (could be choice of DP).
Doesn't Flash need to have his own cinematic style?
What if the film is visually altered to fit the "Lurhmann universe"?

If we are going with Barry Allen I was thinking Charlie Hunnam or Chris Pine.

No Charlie Hunnam please. I don't think that he fits the character or the lead-man role very much.

Pine is good, but I see him as more of a Hal Jordan. He has the attitude, the space cowboy thing kinda (he pulled Kirk off pretty well), and the lead man presence that a superhero should have. He's had darker hair before, if he goes back to that, he kind of looks like Hal too.

I suppose he does. But wouldn't it be a matter of Luhrmann adapting more of his style to fit what Zack Snyder and co. have started?

Also, can he do action set pieces? I haven't seen Australia nor Romeo and Juliet.

Never got the love for Gyllenhaal. He's okay...I think he'd have the introspective/scientist side of Barry down okay but he always seems like he's taking offense to something IMO. I'd be fine with Pine if he could pull off playing the scientist, absent minded professor aspect of Barry I was mentioning.

Here's what I would do:

Directors: Larry and Lana Wachowski
Writers: Jonathan Nolan, Larry Wachowski, Lana Wachowski
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal

That's all I'd want. Wishlist over.

If the rumblings are true that Flash is "a lock" for appearing in Batman vs. Superman, we should be hearing the announcement of the casting in a few weeks, no? If they don't, then maybe we can assume that it'll be a tiny cameo role then? That'd probably be for the best, but after the Affleck and Gadot fiascoes, I'm apprehensively curious about which controversial actor they'll get to play Barry.

I know I'm going to be getting a lot of backlash from this, but I think Justin Timberlake would actually make an interesting Barry. Yeah it would be controversial to people, but he's proven to show some versatility in his films.

In lieu of the previously announced castings, I can't see the backlash being any worse than Ben as Bats or Gal as Wondy.

Did you guys know that the script that Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim and Michael leaked? I'm talking about the one that was written after the Green Lantern film.

I choose Grant Gustin to be The Flash in the film.

Other than Lurhmann and Zemeckis, I think Luc Besson, Michel Gondry, Brad Silberling, Doug Lefler, Neil Marshall, Mike Mitchell, Mira Nair or Iain Softley could work.

Another leaked page from The Flash script by Michael Green, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim has hit which features the post credit scene with a certain famous Justice League member!

Full review of The Flash script goes up tomorrow on SMN

So this leaked script has nothing to do with the planned Flash movie?

Didn't someone already debunk the script that El Mayimbe had a few months ago?

Nope its legit....Our review tomorrow will confirm elmayimbes script page also. It was debunked that it was from Batman vs Superman. That part was false.

I seemed to recall someone on this site had that script and said it was Goyer's early Flash script...I could find the posts but I'm feeling lazy.

I am not doubting you...just that someone called him out on it an that's why he took it down.
