Now i see why they used that sprinter stance photo. Suit looks too baggy. Gustin needs to fill it out more or make suit tighter. They really need to make that red background on the logo white.

The suit doesn't really look baggy; I guess it's just not as tight as people were hoping for. I think the crotch could be loose, but the waist tighter. Other than that the fitting of the suit doesn't really bother me.

Well they're talking in the context of superhero costumes. Where most traditionally it's a naked human body with lines to denote clothing.

It's a looser fit than costumes designed around their peers.

I really hope the suit looks better with proper cinematography and such, cause in the spy pics it looks quite bad.

Yeah, my excitement for this thing is kinda gone. Getting the suit right was pretty important. It looks cheap in those set pics.

I'm not worried about the suit looking cheap. I thought it looked pretty cinematic (akin to MOS) in the two official stills released.

All these reactions make me sad. I really do think the costume looks great. Admittedly it was a tad polarizing for me at first, but, to me, that is as good a real life, modern interpretation of the Flash as we're going to get. For a tv show no less. I really think you guys will end up loving it once you see the pilot. Doing a direct translation from the comic book is just not going to work visually and it wouldn't make much sense. They're trying to make this costume look sensible and something that someone would actually design for themselves.

Yeah,dare I say,in some of those shots the suit looks downright "Sy-Fy channel".I guess it's too late for any wholesale changes.If they just change the emblem,I'd be cool with it for the time being.Maybe in season 3,Barry's suit gets a revamp or whatever.

I think the problem I'm having with it is the color.The 90's suit looked cherry red in the daytime,maroon at night.So it really worked well in any given lighting.This suit looks burgundy in daytime and muddy brown in the dark.It doesn't really "pop" like a Flash costume should.

Doesn't look muddy brown in the promo pic of him in that pre-running pose. Also, you do realize they didn't shoot the promo pic in the dark? The background and lighting bolts were clearly added after the fact. Also, on the TV show itself, we'll never actually see him in the dark because whether you're shooting during the day or at night, lighting comes into play either way and the suit will most likely be well-lit enough to show its true color.

His suit looks like scarlet red to me, and he is know as the Scarlet Speedster and not the Bright Red Runner so...yeah.

Well,as I said before,I think the suit is about 75/80% what I wanted.For a CW show,I'll take those odds gladly.

It looks okay, but it would look horrible in motion in live action. Any material that looks like that bunches up weird. Have him do one in the Spider-Man mesh fabric and see if you still like that.

My take
He's the scarlet speedster not the dark red leather suit guy

Would have preferred a spandex suit like some athletes wear.
They could even have him super compress it into a small container.
Maybe not the ring but not unlike.

Someone said that looked a lot like the movie Daredevil suit, spot on comment.


Forgot this suit needs to be scarlet red.

Looooong time without posting (since Superman Returns), but always kept reading...

I always thought Flash would look like a mid-distance elite runner. Something like Galen Rupp (image too large to embed). With that said, I think the suit could be a bit more tight and the boots resemble more like running shoes kin to Nike's Flyknit tech or Adidas Prime Knit tech.

Why with all the different textures and fabrics? And, could this suit be like a Batman Begins 1.0 version and see the suit evolve during the series?
