It looked like the New 52 suit to me.

I went through the scene frame by frame, it was the exact same suit he currently has, just with the white circle.

However, the lighting is so dim they have wiggle room to change it if they want when/if they finally show Barry going back in time.

I thought I saw yellow lines on his lower limbs while the ones on his upper limbs were more noticeable. Closer to the New 52 look than he currently has. So, I guess something of a mix of his current one, New 52, and classic maybe.

Well that's just because as a CGI model, they have far more control over the color. They aren't bound by the lighting of the real world. This is why "brightening the suit" isn't as wise as it sounds.

I Strongly dislike Bret Booth's designs for this series. The post-convergence Flash design is equally ugly.

Hmm. It's ok. The diamond isn't all that great, but not horrific to me. It's an interesting costume pattern-wise overall, but I look at the pic and wonder what would it look like if all those lightning bolts and ear wings were red.

Reminds me of the latest Flash costume redesign. Which I thought wasn't all that bad (certainly the best out of the bunch as far as redesigns go). Though I wasn't so keen on the two different reds on the costume. Could have done with a more subtle difference between the shades of red so it didn't look so drastic and stand out in the wrong way imo.

Though one thing I will add though. I quite like the show's version of RF's suit. I can't help but wonder if this comic RF could do with some sort of padded/armour style effect rather than just a spandex/painted on effect.

I think it's far too late for that. So many characters don't have padded armor(yeah they got lines sure). Also you can see right there what route they want to go.

Additionally I think most artist would draw a padded version the same way because those kneepads is as much thickness as you can really draw.

So they've finally fixed the folded back version of the cowl to look like a real cowl now. The whole chin/jaw part still disappears, but it doesn't just look like a leather hood with the earpieces stuck on.

Really? Actually look at this ugly thing. I refuse to believe anyone can look at this costume without bias or nostalgia and tell me it is objectively good.

Looks like it belongs in Disney World or something. Either that or put the material to good use and re-upholster a sofa. If this Flash tried to save me I would probably just start laughing.

Man, you have such a bad faith argument. Your sentence begins with "I refuse" while finishing by looking for someone who is "objectiv" ??
You're clearly not.
Count me as one then. I love this suit. It's not out of nostalgia, I can still watch the old show and scream at some ugly stuff, but the suit ? The suit is amazing and beautiful. The red is nice, it stays close to the comics, without being so dark and gritty like it's the new sense of fashion nawadays.
"In disney world" you said ? Oh I get it, you are part of those people who think the Arow or netflix Daredevil are more real because they look "dark". Wooooooo.
Come on, they are superheroes, they don't need to be realistic or things do not need to be explain or grounded all the time. "Add some padded armor here and here" oh and "add some lines, lots of lines!"
The current flash suit, while being OK isn't close enough to the comicbook, to me, and I hate the so-called realisitc approach on it. Too dark too.
The fake muscle suit underneath ? I can get over this without problem. Most suit have. I personnaly think it wouldbe better to have something like the Fantastic Four suits, with some twists. But the general look of this 90es suit? It beats most of the current suits every single time. I find it close to the comics while not being so flashy or color-saturated.

I love the neckline of the suit in these shots, makes me really believe the suit as a whole would look better with a separate helmet design. Like Captain America in the live action films.

I honestly prefer the normal colors. If they want the brighter red suit, they should revamp the whole costume; that leather material works better in dark colors IMO.

Still a pretty cool reference to the classic costume.

Not sure entirely gold boots would look great in live action, but I'd like to see them attempt it. Maybe if they were red boots with some gold patterns? Could also do with a sectioned pattern in the darker red areas on the sides. Also bring back the lightening bolt lines on the cowl from the previous manip.

I would also like to see thicket lightening bolts for both the belt and those wrapping around his forearms. The belt especially should wrap all the way around I feel. Something like this imo.

Hope the chest emblem gets changed to white next season, especially since the idea has already been put in Cisco's head.
