I think eventually, we will absolutely get the brighter red and white emblem suit.

My only gripe with the suit right now would probably be the belt's position. Makes his legs look shorter. I love the upgrades though from the first half of the season. Mouth opening is waaay better.

Lose the cowl. Trade it in for a TDK style cowl. It will give them far more control over the shape of the actors head. Also I'm sure he'd like to be able to turn his head.

Grant Gustin is just a lean scrawny guy so they can't do much about his rear unless Grant bulks up & packs on lots of muscle. I second the idea of them adding some body armor to a future suit of Flash's.

I don't expect Grant to pull a MOS. But season to season, it wouldn't be bad if he started getting larger. But hey that's why I suggest padding. Make him seem bigger without being bigger.

Why do people want the Flash to look comic-booky? The comic book suits are hilariously awful.

For live action, the Flash looks fine. I expect a few modifications, but I don't want a spandexy looking costume, I don't want an armored look, and I surely do not want the dumb lighting bolts on his cowl to be three dimensional. I hate that (I hate the lighting bolts anyway, but to make it like the comic book would be horrible). It looks so stupid. And no gold boots. Ever.

I have this Thing about super hero costumes. I think that they are all terrible, and the less live action versions look like them, the better off we are.

The comics suits are generally beautiful . for live action, the only necessary change is usually minor, like texture or material

Yeah I don't think he would look right if he bulked up a lot.

Somebody used a little photoshop and imposed Reverse Flash's suit on to Barry it looks pretty awesome. Even if they just went for something like this for the upgrade it makes him look a bit bigger. Plus we get the classic white lightning background

The problem is Gustin is neither. I'm not saying the dude is out of shape but he definitely doesn't go to the gym all that often either. I remember this still in particular was going around online with everyone pointing out that his gut is sticking out.

I know most of his stunt work is cgi in this case with the characters speed, but imo it just seems lazy when an actor doesn't try to maintain a certain physique (ala Amell) especially for a superhero role. I've never seen a scrawny Flash either. Look up Barry Allen Flash and you'll see a ton of photos of toned Allen. I'm not saying this actor needs to look like Cavill for the role of Flash, but at least try to get in better shape. That wasn't required from Amell but look at the shape he has gotten in for the role of someone with a bow and arrow.

I agree with this. Love him in the role, but he could do more to fit the role physically.

Love the addition of the white emblem. I don't know if i mentioned this before, but i really have grown to love the darker colors of this suit. It has a nice noir look to it which i personally enjoy. And from the looks of the Vixen animated series, it looks terrific in animation!
