I miss her already :waa:

Though I have a feeling she would have died if he told her.

Was this Patty's last episode? I'm going to miss her...

A good start to the season though I wish Harry didn't off the Turtle. I was digging that character a lot.

I'm guessing he did it to slow down Barry's speed.

Since when did getting Jay's speed back meant they had to go after Zoom? I thought he lost his speed because he jumped earths, and if he went back to Earth 2 he would have his speed. I guess Zoom did take his speed right before the Earth 1-Earth 2 portal showed up.

I'm so hyped for next week's episode!!!!

Did he kill him? I thought he just tortured him a bit. I mean, aren't they going to wonder why there's a dead body there?

Yup, Zoom stole his speed right before the portal opened. That was the only thing that stopped Zoom from killing him.

Yeah, I was really hoping he wouldn't be an angry kid like they made him in the New 52 for a while. Hope it doesn't last long.

And that ending tease :awesome: Can't wait for next week.
he also called barry the white shadow in the family. so no the writers will have him like this for a while .

It was just sad to see iris say they used to call Barry that at some point too. what Iris?? ??

but it was hinted at that he'll have issues with barry for a while, so now that him and Joe are trying to get to know each other regardless of wally habits

he'll put his misplace ANGER on Barry for his parent mistakes. and the fact joe call barry son.

I told this to Hunter rider in a prior post so be prepared . oh also new 52 bahhhhhh. I was hoping the same that they wouldn't do too much of that with Wally. but hey the writers love this more then any one . So just ride it out.

we'll know by next episode but it's like with what he was saying that he'll do any thing to protect herhis daugther. he was going the Jack bristo(victor Garber former character from alias a good guy but complicated hero) and Red Reddinton (from the black LIST )rout that he'd go that far to protect his little girl
Yup, Zoom stole his speed right before the portal opened. That was the only thing that stopped Zoom from killing him.
yup it had nothing to do with being on another earth as we saw, zoom functioned fine in earth one he just wants Barry to be fattened up so he can take his speed. nothing more

Okay, so, did Team Flash have a plan when they went after the Turtle at the gala? It seems like they didn't.

And why did Barry intend to tell his secret to Patty at the gala? What if someone had overheard? What if she'd freaked out? Then, when she was clearly upset after the party, why didn't he tell her then?

Losing Patty and Wally so quickly is kind of a waste.

The highlight of the episode was the Turtle. He was genuinely creepy.

Mixed start to the second half of the season. While I can see Barry not telling Patty his secret because Zoom would be after her, too many people knew. But it also made Barry's scenes with Patty pointless.

Why would Wally want to see Joe and Iris in the first place if he didn't want to?

Nice mention of Keystone City. Barry and company are not going to be happy with Harrison Wells did.

The end was all I care about with the real Reverse Flash, Eobard Thawne.

Out of ALL of the things that my friend could have said about their initial reaction to watching this episode, her first comment was: "Well, at least we can confirm now that Barry isn't a virgin".lol

You know what dude, I'm going to miss her to. I think she was awesome.
This episode was ok, but I can't wait for next weeks episode. I thought the reverse flash got des inaugurated. Oh well, maybe they will explain it next weeks episode.

So I didn't really like the actor that played wally. Really was looking forward to someone with more energy. We'll see tho.
Can't believe rf is back! So freaking exciting. I wonder if Barry had surpassed his speed now?

lol well all I said when he woke up in bed with her is oh they're at that stage. good for him . but what your friend said is funny. he could have lost that years ago andstill had a thing for iris . but seeing how the show went on about his crush on her it's understandable.

Kind of disappointing mid-season premiere, not digging Wally's characterization or them dragging their feet on Patty.

It certainly wasn't one of its strongest episodes . Wally was a bit of jerk and not that great. Turtle was a pretty lackluster villain. I really felt for Patty and frankly, I was kinda glad she's moved on given the way Barry was acting.

The biggest flaw in the whole logic of "The villain can take those closest to you" is that even if you aren't involved with anyone romantically, that said villain could still target your allies as well. So unless Barry became a Speed Hermit, then by that very logic he's putting everyone in Team Flash at risk as well.

well he was a serial killer as well starting with his wife. also this was the very reason batman in Justice league ND jlu didn't Qnt to date wonder woman I think he can handle his allies cause he trained some of them and others are capable but if it's someone you love(inlove with ) or say his blood relative it's another animal when some one like turtle goes serial killer mode and notice's you seem more stressed protecting certain people more then others.

turtle didn't catch on what flash's connection was to patty. but that may be a good thing. if he did he 'd continue to go after her if he ever escaped.

if he is indeed dead barry won't have to worry about that now. serial killers are the worst you can ever deal with when they notice those things.

It seems the consensus is that Potential Energy was pretty lacking. I thought this was one of the weakest episodes of the series by far. Spending so much time on the Barry/Patty situation and having little to no payoff was a terrible move. Wally being a bit of a dick wasn't expected, or appreciated. The Turtle was also pretty lame, I mean, his whole shtick was absorbing kinetic energy... but all Barry had to do was try harder? Doesn't add up for me.

Hopefully RF and Wells can right the ship next week.

Here's my full review if people are interested.

Well, that was a disappointing start. Can't really say there was anything particularly good in this episode other than the Turtle (and even he was lame).

Don't forget that the last few episodes were about Patty as well. I hope they didn't have Patty exit the show just so that they can go down the road with Barry and Iris again.

not the best or the worst episode.. but hey, finally a villain who can tap into The Slowforce!!

about Patty.. I think the writers want us to believe she's out of the show, she'll be back. i'm pretty sure.

I just realized what Harry did to the Turtle at the end was the same thing that Wells did last season to some villain of the week that I can't quite remember. I believe it was implied that they were dead as he stole their powers.

Terrible episode.

Did a real good job making Patty absolutely clueless.

Have to think that episode was a rush job because the actress had new commitments or wanted out. I mean that was one of the must forced and rushed exit episodes I've ever seen. And if that wasn't the case shame on the producers for not making the character a regular. Much much better character than Iris
