The Flash TV Show?

Making a TV show =/= having no faith

making a show means they have so much faith in the character they think they can tell his story for several seasons

“It will be fun for the audience to see how we do our take on The Flash’s powers. Some will feel very familiar to those who know the comics, and other stuff will feel different yet fresh and exciting.” Berlanti noted, “That said, he does need powers to become The Flash. And he will be The Flash. He will wear a red costume, and he will go by that name.”

I like this.

You've gotta pick your battles. Personally, I'm just hyped for an adaptation, regardless of format.

At least Flash is a character who could work in a TV series.

I dont see why DC keeps trying to put their bigger heroes on TV especially ones like Superman, Wonder Woman, and now Flash who should have a big budget in their stories.
Arrow I kinda understood, but I didnt think it would end up good and, imo, it didnt. They still havent made a good show based on superheroes.

I hope this doesnt go through or at least it doesnt hinder plans for a Flash movie

I honestly think they may be planning to do with Arrow, Amazon, and this potential Flash show, what Marvel is doing with Agents of SHIELD, and have them tie in to the movies.

Agree 100%.

Love the character and I don't care if it's movies or TV, I'll be watching.

Yeah. The production value won't be as good... But we'd get about 20 hours of material over a year as opposed to 2 hours every 2 years. I happen to be OK with that.

I'm excited for this. SO much potential.

Well, yeah, but Booster Gold is something they actually have in development already.

Yep

If all goes well for these projects, Kreisberg and Berlanti could have three different DC series on the air.

Incorrect.... The CW isn't NBC or FOX. You can have a show on the CW with low rating and the show will last.... like Arrow. Arrow's rating are crap compared to the main channels. You think Smallville had the best ratings which is why it lasted ten seasons.... nope. Making a series on the CW is not a great idea... basically saying the WB doesn't have faith in the Flash to be a summer movie.

Looks like we are getting a TV series and a movie:

Pedowitz was also asked if the TV Flash would be the same as the proposed movie Flash or somehow they’d tie in together, and while he said this hadn’t yet been discussed, he was quite sure that the two can stand apart (read: will stand apart) and that the network are “good to go” with their series no matter what Warner Bros. have on the cards for theatrical.

If they had no faith in a property... Wouldn't they not make anything? Even a TV show?

I don't think they have no faith in WW, I just think they're being REALLY gun-shy.

Since they're likely going to go with a CW familiar actor, like Amell was, I'm going to throw out Matt Davis' name. Because...

A. He's not some pretty boy that had a two-line role on 90210.

and B. The guy has leading man potential.

Granted, he is 35, but... :o
