I'm am so excited about this. Not only because of my love for The Flash (Barry) but I also prefer TV as a storytelling medium to movies.
What they need to make it not suck though is, as with all the CW shows is that they all look dark. Ever notice that? Bat cinematography, bad lighting, I don't know what, but everything looks dark and like a set.
A show like Flash needs to be bright, bold, dynamic. I hate to trod on the same ground again, but CSI Miami, Hawaii 5.0, Burn Notice, Graceland all have a great look that they bring to the table. Bright colors, dynamic scenery, the investigation/lab science scenes, even the camera work on these shows always screamed Flash to me.
A couple years ago watching CSI with George Eads always gave me the Flash feel. It's a good looking show, the direction is slick, they made use of the bright neons and lights of the setting to make it look more dynamic, the investigation was well handled. Aside from the hair color I used to wish it was a Flash show. Look, it's Barry! -

Here's to hoping that CW is smart and doesn't schedule The Flash on a Sunday at 8.00 against The Simpsons like CBS did back in the day and killed a great show (still one of my favorite shows ever).
