Yup. I successful film needs good word of mouth and then it has to to have legs. And I think (and hope) it gets slaughtered next week and the weeks following.

The GA doesn't care about movie studios. All they want is entertainment. They don't care who cranks it out. And if the film is bad, be sure they won't blame the studio.

dead on, Doc...

Thank you.

And besides. This film will be a success come tomorrow. But how will it hold up next week? I just hope bad word of the mouth spreads so ST can...

CRUSH THEM!

What Marvel guy addressed this? I would really like to know what deal Avi Arad set up with Fox because I was pretty sure it was similar to the X-Men one. I thought Fox had to make a Daredevil or spinoff film every 4 years to hold onto the rights. It's been over 4 years since Elektra came out.

- Fox is serious about doing remakes of Daredvil and FF. They have to make new movies with these characters every few years because otherwise the options will revert to us. This point is kinda obvious but Im not sure people realise it –I havent seen anybody pointing it out anywhere. The mood around here is pretty negative about Rothman’s potential to execute these properties properly, (Im sure you know why it might be particularly negative at the moment) but we are all hoping his recent promotion will mean hes kept away from direct control of these movies.

^I've long thought the only benefit to Rothman's promotion might be that he will no longer be able to directly interfere with the making of Fox's movies. Hopefully, he'll have other duties to worry about.

I just saw Wolverine.... and I didnt hate it.

^ So.. I assume it was just mediocre?

I actually kinda liked it except for all the Deadpool butchering done by Rothman.

Thats my philosophy... if its good, the filmmakers are responsible. If it's bad, it's all Rothman.

And Sabretooth left me cold. How did he go from shrimpy Schreiber to that ****ing hulk that is Tyler Mane?!

I didn't mind that. The only thing that does bother me is his role in X1 now. I mean now he's just this brute and when he battles Wolverine there's nothing there.

that's how I viewed the character in that film....he was muscle for Magneto...nothing more

Well, X1 came first (in terms of the films themselves, not continuity). What they should've done in this movie is slowly show him become more of a beast, instead of showing his humanity until the very end. Show his hair grow a bit more, lessen his dialogue... just make it add up a little bit.

now why didn't fox just put the logan ending in the middle of the credits and put the dead pool ending rite at the end on EVERY PRINT.....

stryker's ending was pretty useless

The Monkey Grinder says... "dance monkeys, dance".

Marvel Studios should make an official statement that they no longer support Foxs involvement with any films they might produce using Marvel properties
