My opinion blows? Don't you like Killzone and those wretched Naughty Dog games?

Killzone may suck, but Naughty Dog is amazing. One of the very few Sony first party developers that are actually any good.

You still think Naughty Dog is worth a damn? No wonder you pitiful fools still think Miyamoto is something special :(

No..just checking, because you don´t know how to read....

Inever said that consoles are for kids
I never said that consoles were "cute"....
I´M STATING FACTS
Because in the 80´s and early 90´s, consoles were seen as inferior to computers, they were seen as nothing more than plug and play, simple games for kids and teens.
THOSE ARE FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or do you honestly think that Mario, DK, Zelda and all those were seen as masterpieces back in those days?
They didn´t had the recognition they have now

Next time, at least, learn how to read...

Consoles were seen as something for kids and teens, computers were not, so, i still go by what i say.

In gaming development, Molyneux, Wright and Meir are bigger then Myamoto.

Wow you didn't imply that consoles were somehow on a lower totem poll at all, oh wait. Because you just said that because consoles were seen as something for kids and teens and computers were not that said fact somehow validates your lopsided opinion.

Molyneux Wright and Meir might have been big relative to the PC, but their impact on gaming, individually, isn't up to the same level as Myamoto. Myamoto was a software developer, not a hardware developer.Software sells hardware.

In the 80´s and early 90´s, Mario and co were....cute, but hardly influential.

So The NES/Famicon and Mario were....'cute'... but hardly influencial? Zelda, DK, and Mario weren't considered masterpieces at the time? What planet do you live on.

Apparantly not ours. How can you belittle MARIO!!! Every game he's in ends up selling like crazy, even if they suck because of his reputation. He was huge then, and he's even bigger now cuz we can look back and see how his influence infected the ENTIRE industry. And Myamoto kind of invented him, so he gets a little bit of credit at least, and you can't even give him that. Look up the top franchises in history, and see the NUMBER ONE spot is Mario, last time I checked. He even beats Madden all by his lonesome. I'll just save you some time right now. http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=12349 Click this and see how FACTS show him as being on top, and more than just a little bit influential.

So, if the game isn't as complex it can't be influential? Is that what you're trying to say? In this post it almost sounds like you're saying an early console game can't be influential because it would be inferior to a PC game. Sure Mario and Zelda games weren't as complex as PC games, but they were a lot of fun to play, did sell incredible well and were very influential in reviviing a dead industry (the console market). Do you think a Molyneaux, Wright or Meier game would've been able to revive the PC industry if it ever died?

Wow gfreeman and Isildur´s Heir you guys need to read up on your videogame history, i may notknow everything about gaming but i know one thing miyamoto pretty much saved gaming as we know it!! watch and episode of game makers: crash of video games and game makers: mario or you guys could just use wikipedia like this:

Shigeru Miyamoto is a Japanese video game designer. He is the creator of the Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Nintendogs, Wave Race, and Pikmin video game series for Nintendo game systems. He has also produced many titles which Nintendo has published on behalf of other developers, including the extremely successful F-Zero franchise.

He is the world's most celebrated game designer, and is often called the father of modern video gaming. His titles are characterized by refined control-mechanics and imaginative worlds in which the players are encouraged to discover things for themselves, as well as basic storylines, which had been almost unheard of before he introduced one of the first, featuring Mario.

not will wright or ever the heck you guys keep saying and if you guys didnt realize that he's the general manager of the EAD meaning he would take part in most of the games nintendo makes, and he co-developed the wii which is dominating console sales right now!!!.........so is that current enough for you guys???
