The Gifted The Gifted General Discussion

I've heard way more positive buzz for this than Inhumans. :(

Deservedly so. While I don't think Inhumans is as bad as the criticism (and I have some complaints about this show), this is definitely a much better show.

I haven't been about to see the share anymore. When you see a 1.5, don't you have to know out of how many households were actually watching TV?

Lots of people dvr like me and we don't count because we skip over the ads.

Tends to be how Nielson works. I'm sure you can find their methodology on their website.

Dvr does count, but the +3 and +7 day ratings are not quite as important as the live viewing.

Hmm I have always thought that men aren't included.

That's for daytime shows, where the women are the main targets. It doesn't work like that in primetime unless the network/show is targeting a specific gender which isn't the case for Fox shows.

This is a good show I just don't see what they can do with this show. I mean how long are they going to be on the run for. Hopefully the writers have written some great story arcs. otherwise I don't think this series will last 3 seasons.

I imagine they'd eventually come across or find themselves headed to Xavier's school for The Gifted.

I would be fine if it doesn't last three seasons. I want this to be 1 and done. And for Fox to move forward with a more original X-Men show which features characters from the comics.

That's the thing, it's neither. They are essentially considered a third and fourth timeline. With the logic being that DOFP showed us that there is more than one timeline. They are part of the movie universe, but don't share the exact continuity from the movie universe. Essentially they are like the "what if" type comics in addition to the main storyline. The different realities and other characters that we can explore. But that have some cross-over and include some things we know and love from the movies. Think of it in the same way as the Arrowverse and Supergirl. Connected? Yes. But not in the same reality.

1 timeline is created if some events are modified by someone, or by time travel. We dont know if this shows takes place officially in a 3rd timeline

Well of course, that's to be X-pected, from disgruntled fans. And it's perfectly natural, to want to vent.

Well, it's also to be X-pected from psy in particular.

Well is it also Xpected for you to eat up anything they serve? How about you focus on your own over the top rainbow and sunshine thoughts next time.

I watched the ep last night. I really enjoyed it.

I am figuring it will be an ongoing mystery what happened to the X-Men and Brotherhood. One possible theory is someone like Mister Sinister is behind it. They could take out a page of the animated show and throw them in the Savage land or some place similar.

That's a huge if Mr. sinister ever appears in this. I have a feeling they might want to save him for a feature film.

Watched it. Overall, just okay. Nothing special. I didn't know Singer was directing, and I guessed correctly within the first 15 minutes. Predictable, with average acting apart from Amy Acker.

It was just pedestrian to me. Its like Nix took elements from the films feat. the ot cast and mix them up and the end result is something we already have seen before. I thought Legixn was fresh. This one is like a parody.

Not really, by contrast it's certainly a better than anything the CW produces. Of course I'm looking at the show overall and I think it deserves a chance.

Yay a lot of mutants

Elena Satine as Dreamer; Zach Roerig as Pulse; Michelle Veintimilla as Carmen; Hayley Lovitt as Sage; Jermaine Rivers as Shatter; Tony Vo as Young Mutant; Derek James Jones as Trader; Josue Gutierrez as Francisco

So salty, lol. Makes sense, tho. And no problem, at all, will be more than happy to oblige. Consider it done.

Yeah, this show's MUCH more to my liking than anything of the same, that's currently on the broadcast networks OR come before it. I'm REALLY lookin' forward to seein' where it goes.

It's not better than Arrow. And it won't be, as long as Singer directs.*

*For starters. ;)
