I'm hoping the rumor about Alexander Skarsgard being a candidate pans out. Granted, he's not in his 30's if that rumor is accurate.

I feel if he's had all this time to think on him, Hoult and Alexander and hasn't decided on any of them yet and wants to keep searching for more I feel it might be because he's not really that excited about any of them in the role tbh But I could be wrong.

Still pulling for Jake Gyllenhaal. A little outside the age range but he looks like he's in his 30s anyway.

There is nothing about the actor's strike that prevents a director from having made a choice on his head that he'll later send an offer to once the strike is over. He's teased that he has several casting announcements ready to go once the strike is over so he's quite likely already made his mind about a few roles here. It seems to be the case with Gisondo as Jimmy too.

Maybe, I'm just saying that if the DCEU leaks report is true and Gunn wants to keep searching for more actors after the strike is over it's because maybe he's not 100% into the previous shortlist.

Well it'd be pretty easy to figure out if after the strike is over he takes a while to cast Luthor and it turns out to be none of the ones in the previous shortlist lol If the strike ends and immediately Hoult or one of the Skarsgards gets cast then it obviously wasn't the case.

I always say my Batman fancasts are usually also my Lex fancasts because I feel like those two characters are two sides of a very similar coin that just utilize their underlying darkness/menace in a different way, so I’ll just go ahead and go with my 30-something Bat-pick, Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

But if a Skarsgard is still in serious consideration, I hope for Alexander. He’s got the “leading man” vibes I want from Lex.

I'm curious as to whether he could pull off the bald look. My guess is he could? But it's sometimes tricky to see who can pull it off vs who couldn't lol.
But yeah he makes sense to me. He fits the type Gunn seems to be looking for. Plus it wouldn't be the first time OJC got a role that Alexander Skarsgard was also in contention for. Something I also noticed is that all the Luthor candidates mentioned so far are around 6'2-6'4 so if that's something Gunn is looking for he fits that too. I think he's very plausible and it's been surprising how little he's been mentioned in fancasts for this.

I'd also like his general look better than Hoult's and Bill's, tho again it's kinda hard to compare without a photo bald.
