The Greatest Criminal Mind of Our Time: Nicholas Hoult IS Lex Luthor

I know we're all collectively done with Luthor having hair/wigs in these live action films, but I really do love some of the more elaborate and fanciful looks he sports in a lot of these movies. I think my favourite is the grey three-piece suit with the bowtie and the wavy brown wig with a silver streak going through it. I like that Hackman's Luthor wanted to wear an overtly 'evil scientist' looking wig while he figured out a way to murder Superman.

I wonder if Gunn has reshoots/pickups budgeted for the DCU movies the way Marvel has it for the MCU movies.

The back-to-back Justice League and Solo debacles turned "reshoots" into a bit of a dirty word, but all movies have them, for a wide array of reasons.

Can't imagine that the DCU will be any different.

I would still love a Lex origin film sometime in the future. No superman ( except at the very end )
All Lex, from childhood to adulthood, and everything in-between.

Lex is my favorite villain in comic lore.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing him.
Probably just as much as I am seeing Superman.

I'm still holding out hope that if this is a big hit, we get a solo Lex origin film.
( pre superman )

So great to see Hoult reading comics to get a better sense of the character. I remember Spacey admitting he didn’t research the character much “because the script was so good” (it wasn’t) and I think Eisenberg said something similar. As someone who used to do a lot of acting, that approach is just weird to me. Obviously you don’t want to copy other actors’ performances so I could see avoiding watching previous Superman movies or TV shows that featured Lex. But you have a wealth of material in the comics that can help you really understand the various versions of the character and could help you create your version. To not take advantage of that is just ****ing lazy, to be honest.

Like some directors, some actors tend to want to put their own spin on things.
The problem is, that's not what millions of fans and the public want.

I'm praying we finally see the Lex we've been wanting on the big screen. I can't handle any more Wroooongs!!!!, or jolly rancher scenes from Lex.
It's sad the best Lex so far ( for me ) was from a TV series that's now old.
