So, as I'm sure all of you are aware of, October 31st is almost a month away. Before we know it, there will be trick-or-treaters on our doorsteps expecting us to waste our candy on them.

Which movies stand out to you guys as the very best movies to watch around halloween time?

Halloween (obviously)
Evil Dead 2
Frankenstein
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
The Thing
Young Frankenstein
An American Werewolf in London
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Beetlejuice
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Monster Squad
Hellraiser
CHUD
Dracula
The Wolfman

and more...

Halloween, the first Hellraiser, I usually go through the whole NOES and Friday series.

Halloween
The Wicker Man
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Interview with the Vampire
Nightmare on Elm Street
IT
Scream
Frankenstein
Evil Dead 2
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
T1 & T2 (not truely horror but halloween gives both films a great atmosphere)

I watched the Excorcist for the first time around last halloween and it blew my mind/scared the living s*** out of me. I might do it again this year.

My favorite Halloween time movies in no particular order -

Ghostbusters
Evil Dead trilogy
John Carpenter's THE FOG
John Carpenter's THE THING
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Hercules In The Haunted World
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
28 Days Later
Hellboy
Beetlejuice
Alien
Aliens

Halloween, H2, H4,
Friday the 13th Part 2, 3, 4 and 6.
A Nightmare on Elm Street, ANOES Part 3
The Lost Boys
Fright Night
The Crow

Curse of the Were Rabbit :D love that movie

I tried watching it. I only got to the part where Linda Blair pissed herself. I saw that and I said, "I'm done!" I'm such a sissy. I was scared of a line of urin. :csad:

Halloween...Duh-nuh-nuh, Duh-nuh, Duh-Duh-Duh. :oldrazz:

I know the maze pop up of Linda scared the hell out of me, but I didn't know the whole movie was scary, I'll definatley check that out this Halloween.

I was genuinely afraid while I was waiting to fall asleep one night that my bed would start shaking violently.

I was 17 years old.

But, put aside the fact that The Excorcist is one of the scariest f***ing movies EVER, and you'll see that it is also one of the best. The last 10-15 minutes are pure brilliance.

I don't know. I only made it to the pissing scene. But I don't want to find out any time soon! :oldrazz:

I highly suggest you watch it. Tear off the band-aid.

Just dont do it alone.
