I think he has a verbal committment. I don't know if he'll come back at the Survivor Series, but that may be enough of a break for Punk.

The fact that Punk pretty much hates TNA and wouldn't work for them, combined with the total lack of actual competition for WWE makes it plausible that they'd let him go over on his way out, even without a new deal in place to return later. Even if he showed up in ROH claiming to be the true undefeated WWE champion, it wouldn't hurt WWE and wouldn't even help ROH too much.

Forgive me if I sound like a broken record but:

By Michael Bluth

Many past and present WWE stars are commenting on Twitter about the John Cena vs. CM Punk WWE Championship match at Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view:

The Rock: "Congratulations to new WWE Champion @CMPunk. Gonna be a helluva run for you. I hope our paths cross."

Steve Austin: "@CMPunk and @JohnCena had a big time pro wrestling match. I loved it. And I loved the finish. Congrats to both guys. Great stuff."

"WOW!!! What a Tremendous reception for @CMPunk! That was a 10 out of 10. Hell Yeah!"

Trish Stratus: "What's so wrong w/ leaving the company as champion, right @wweuniverse? Hehe! Great match-the 'to be continued' is what's got me #mustseetv"

Sean Waltman: "That was f**king unbelievable. Glad I decided on a later flight in order to see that. Hats off to both guys and to WWE for doing it right. Now I can get on my flight a happy man. Thanks @CMPunk and @JohnCena . Thanks to Chicago for making that so electric. Best bldg in world."

Jim Ross: "Really solid, compelling, old school wrestling match between @JohnCena & @CMPunk. Making me proud."

"MITB delivered! Last match was excellent. Hope everyone who watched enjoyed it."

When a PPV delivers, especially the main event, & then the show goes off the air w/ more questions than answers I'd say that's a good nite.

From start to finish, MITB arguably was the best wrestling PPV of the year. Highly entertaining, great crowd & gutsy in ring work. Bravo.

Kevin Nash: "MITB better than any mma ppv I've watched. Punk continues to gain my respect and Jay is the F**KIN man,WWE at it's best"

Mick Foley: "I don't think I've ever been jealous of a wrestler's character before. Money, yes, character, no. @cmpunk has changed that. Damn. Damn!"

Howard Finkel: "I've seen just about everything possible in my 36 yrs.in this industry, but nothing like I witnessed 2nite! I love this business so much!"

Zack Ryder: "Congrats to my first ever Broski of the Week @CMPunk!"

Seth Rollins: "We're still a wrestling company and that was how professional wrestling is done."

Joey Styles: "I can't believe this. Our WWE Champion doesn't work for WWE and John Cena is or will be fired. OMG! Holy Crap!"

wow that was the best PPV of the last 5 years. glad i paid for it

Chavo Guerrero: "Some of u are asking me to eat my words. I’ll give credit where credit is due. Cena & Punk DELIVERED! But why should we be wondering if Cena Will show up? He is the highest paid wrestler in the industry & the backbone of the WWE… He should deliver EVERY night! No question! We Never said this about Taker or Michaels.U knew they would deliver every time they stepped foot in the ring. There was never a lazy Accusation with those 2. So what u should be saying is.. It’s about time Cena gave the fans there moneys worth! I’m very happy for Punk… If he’s resigning or not, he deserves it.Nobody has lot a fire in the WWE like that since Austin and I guarantee Cena makes 3-4 times if not More than Punk. If u make that much, u should deliver every night, no if, ands, or buts! But that’s just me, weather I was making Mysterio Quit or putting over a little person, I gave it my all every night. Not for the money but cuz I have pride in my work and I respect this biz&The fans cuz they are what matters. There’s always some1 seeing u for the first time & for the last time every night! That’s how every Wrestler should view this biz. Nit as a stepping stone to Hollywood but as way to deliver to the ppl who pay there hard earned money to Watch them every night!!! Viva La Raza mother f’rs! :) just playing.. Dint hate!"

Apparently, the 150 word limit doesn't mean anything to Chavo Guerrero.

Chavo's tweets are blogs , lol

Paul Heyman Comments on CM Punk, News on Punk's Shirt from MITB

Posted by Marc Middleton on 07/17/2011
- During tonight's WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Paul Heyman finally spoke on CM Punk and his RAW promo from a few weeks back. Heyman wrote:

"It's been 20 days since @CMPunk turned the wrestling world and WWE Universe completely upside down w/ his performance. It's not what @CMPunk said, it's the realism with which his promo was delivered. HE felt it. So did millions of fans, too. @CMPunk is not the voice of the voiceless, he's the voice of today's generation! @CMPunk is cool and bad ass, yet he's a man of principle. He translates to grownups and kids alike. I'M A @CMPunk GUY!"

- The t-shirt that CM Punk had on at tonight's pay-per-view was sold at the merchandise stands and according to fans, it said "the Best in the World" and had the July 17th, 2011 date on it and words about Chicago. The shirt was reportedly sold out minutes after the pay-per-view hit the air.

What a ****ing night!!! I've never felt this way after a PPV in possibly ever. I'm just loving the story that was told in that main event. I need that Punk shirt and I need to see Raw tomorrow where Raw goes with this story!!!

Yea awesome to see big signs of them in the opening shots of the crowd when the show started. All my buddies and I had a good laugh when we saw them.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com said that a real high placed source in the WWE says that Punk and Vince are kayfabing everyone and no one knows for sure what's going on with Punk and the direction WWE is going in and whether Punk is staying around or not.

Johnson speculates that Punk either signed a new deal or is working on a gentleman's agreement. That's just speculation

Amazing that in this day and age that they'll even able to keep the majority of their own employees in the dark about what's going on. Kudos to WWE and Punk for having the balls to do something that has NEVER been done before!!

Agreed. This is the kind of thing TNA/Russo has tried to do for yeas but failed to do by mixing in a realife situation and making it interesting and compelling tv, and truly keeping everyone guessing.

This is definitely the hottest thing WWE has done in years

Now, why was that so much better than Wrestlemania? THIS is the PPV I should have paid for. As much as I love Punk, I did NOT see that ending coming. I saw a successful screwjob happening. Holy **** am I so glad to be wrong. I haven't been this excited about the result of a match like this since...Wow. I don't even know when. Edge cashes in on Cena, Miz cashes in on Cena, Jericho beats Austin and The Rock in the same night. Take your pick. This surpasses all of them. This is nuts.

Some of Undertaker's greatest battles:

NDX, does Christopher Daniels use the same song in ROH and TNA? Just found out that my friend Chris wrote the song he uses in ROH.

also, who else was cheering for the pepsi plunge every time they got near a turnbuckle?
