Really? What site is that from?

wow!
unbelievable second weekend!
what do people reckon this is going to end up with at the end of its run?
its looking like a huge total!
I reckon it might even come close to the highest ever R rated comedy which is Beverly Hills Cop from 1984.
Beverly Hills Cop did over $200 million domestic way back in 84, and is still the highest grossing R rated comedy ever.
This one is gonna push it mightly close I reckon!
Lol Noone thinks Funny People is gonna be a funny a movie?
Soooo.... how the hell would a sequel work?
I went to see it last night, and the theater was packed. People were standing in the aisles.

I've never heard that before. So does your theatre like, sell tickets past the seating capacity or something?
Something completely different yet involving the same characters would be the best way I think. Alan's a total f-up so he could be the catalyst.
But i just dont see room here for a sequel. this film is perfect as a stand alone.
I saw the movie and liked it but can someone tell me how this comedy ends up having a bigger debut than any of the generally more hyped critically acclaimed judd apatow work's that seem so prominent these days?

So far you can compare The Hangover with the first Pirates of the Caribbean.
First weekend: POTC $46,6 million
The Hangover $45 million
Second weekend: POTC $34,4 million
The Hangover $32,8 million
Both movies had a 27% drop in the second weekend. If The Hangover continue to perform similar to POTC it could end with something around $290 million. Perhaps that's too much to ask for, considering a lot of big summer movies are still coming up, while POTC was released a little later in the summer. But unless The Hangover suffer a surprisingly big drop the third weekend, $200 million won't be any problem to reach, and maybe not $250 million either
It's already a huge success if you factor in its budget, which I'm sure is significantly less than the first (or any of) the Pirates movie. It's probably already made its budget back as it is. And it's still got this weekend to really clean up before Transformers comes out on Wednesday.
A sequel would probably involve the guys invading a college frat party.
My best bet...Alan gets into some trouble somewhere (Mexico, Paris, etc.) and the boys have to go save him.
