The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Hans Zimmer Score thread - Part 1

I actually never got into the MOS score... Probably because I hated the movie... But there are a couple awesome tracks that come to mind.

Really like We're Best Friends, I Chose You, You Need Me and My Enemy but the rest is quite meh. Like I don't understand music or something so just my personal opinion.

I think all of it is amazing, therefore I hate everything about you.

Hey, has anyone noticed the saturday-morning-cartoon-sounding guitar riff/score from the Peter & Gwen closet/distraction featurette anywhere in the score? I don't think I've noticed it anywhere

Zimmer said from the jump that this was going to be unlike anything he'd ever done. He was going to experiment with new ideas. People shouldn't have expected it to be like his other scores.

It is a different type of score for Zimmer. I was expecting a really hard, all out rendition of the main theme but it never really came. But it's no problem because there are lovely Johnny Marr riffs. Craigdbfan described it as being 'Inception dipped in superhero jelly', and that's right. It's a young 'Peter Parker' score, for sure, and definitely contrasting against his very grand, patriotic Superman theme.

I really like it, definitely new material from Zimmer, but it's my least favorite Spidey score, and theme for Spider-Man. Also, the dubstep sucks ass, and the songs too, so I removed them (the songs).

It has stuff like, "mental torture, self-destroyer, paranoia, can't ignore it...(not in order)"

I was listening to it the other day and totally made every word out haha. Guess we have different ears..

I can make out parts, but not all of it. One part sounds like it says virginity lol
