I Need To Know is perhaps my most anticipated track.

After listening to all of these. I want Zimmer to bring some (if not all of these guys) with him for BvS. I feel they're flexible and dynamic enough that they can change tone and atmosphere while not sacrificing that "freshness" that is radiating from this OST.

I love Zimmer but a collab like this was great for him. The tracks are really incredible.

I picked up on that too. There is real personality and swagger here. Even the minute and a half long I Chose You has it going on.

Zimmer definitely picked the right people to collab with for Spider-Man; Einziger, Pharrell, Marr etc. And I'm excited for some of those songs too, Alicia Keys feat. Kendrick sounds yummy on paper.

He worked with Pharrell on MOS, not sure about the other guys. I have no doubt in my mind that Zimmer will score BvS and bring these guys into the fold.

The Spider-Man heroic theme really sucks and sounds too generic and corny to me.

However, the rest sounds pretty great. I like Zimmer from Batman and Lion King.

I really love the instrumentals of Electro's theme. The suite of his is all good except I still think the "pulse is racing self destructing" lyrics etc sound a tad emo, like something an angsty kid would listen to. But I think the jingle of it will help me get past that. I'd rather it be in a different language maybe? The "Deshi Basara" from Bane's theme in Batman meaning "Rise" was great. Better than them chanting "Rise" over and over.
But then again, since Electro isn't from a pit across the earth, it may not fit for it to be in a different language. I don't know. We'll see.
I will still listen to it.
It's just too bad Electro in this looks like a pathetic joke of a character to me, it is such a good theme. =\

Very powerful statement there. Nevertheless, I love everything about this OST. Definitely, it is miles ahead of the previous films' soundtrack in my opinion.

I mean are you serious? THAT is why he is a villain? Because some people didn't notice him? It is laughable. His mom. Forgets. His. Birthday.

Oh, boo hoo. It's just a birthday. Not enough reason to blow a fuse. Pun intended.

Then he becomes Electro and looks like Dr. Freezehattan.

His theme is good, but it is too good for such a poop of a character he is looking to be.

I promise you, Spider-Man forgetting Max is not the reason he goes off. Sure, his mom, and that play a part in it. But it's definitely not the only reason.

Despite only hearing samples of the other tracks, I think Zimmer's Spidey theme is my least favorite. Still prefer Horner's theme.

I can't seem to get past the idea that the Spider-man theme sounds like the theme for the late night TV news. I keep listening to it and hoping to hear it another way but I can't I like most of the other samples though but that new Spidey theme is just so, so bland. I prefer either Elfman's or Horner's theme to this new one.

I agree. There are flagged events that we get to see but the whole impression that I think Max will be giving off is that he's been trampled on and over, forgotten, passed by and treated like crap his entire life. So while I think his mom forgetting his B-day or Spidey forgetting his name wouldn't send him over the edge it's a culmination of a life long dealing with that kind of environment of him being looked down upon and that's how he perceives his world. Now he gets some power and he has the ability to stand up for himself. Can you imagine someone that's been picked on and treated like garbage their entire life and just lets that anger build up with no resolution? They just hide it in quiet frustration until one day, just one event causes them to pop. IMO this is how Max will be represented and we'll not only feel his pain, we'll be made to fear it once he becomes Electro and unleashes that anger.

Nah, he looks awesome, especially in his black suit. I cant wait to see his powers on the big screen. Jamie Foxx was the right choice - the Electro theme is going to be so intense at the same time as he shoots them bolts!

We're Best Friends and I Chose You sound a bit deathy, but there are no action tracks preluding them, and I would think there would be an action track for the fight. Perhaps that part just isn't shown in the sample.

I really like the soundtrack, but I hate the "real" songs on this CD. I miss the songs from SM1/SM2.
