The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Hans Zimmer Score thread - Part 1

It isn't "real" songs lol. You like the original score, or cues as they're called. Songs are the artists crap Zimmer put on there. Raimi's Spider-Man soundtrack albums were pretty good, even I have to admit Hero is the only good song Nickleback wrote. Still annoyed SM3 got no score release.

In case people are still wondering, the music in the final trailer is called The Art Of War by Steve Jablonsky. It's from the Battleship OST, actually.

So no, Zimmer's score wasn't in the final trailer, like some people seem to believe.

I can't seem to get past the idea that the Spider-man theme sounds like the theme for the late night TV news. I keep listening to it and hoping to hear it another way but I can't :csad: I like most of the other samples though but that new Spidey theme is just so, so bland. I prefer either Elfman's or Horner's theme to this new one.
It's only a short main theme and the upside is it can be spliced into action scenes and the general score a lot easier. The Rhino chase clip for example when Spidey jumps into the back of the truck. Just a few seconds of the theme is needed, no build up or anything.

I prefer the rendition of the Spidey theme done in So Much Anger. It's much more pleasing to the ear and has a certain edge combined with it.

He looks like Steve Urkel. A typical nerd parody.
"His life just isn't going well, then his mom forgets his birthday and Spider-Man doesn't remember him and that really sends him over the edge."

I mean are you serious? THAT is why he is a villain? Because some people didn't notice him? It is laughable. His mom. Forgets. His. Birthday.

Oh, boo hoo. It's just a birthday. Not enough reason to blow a fuse. Pun intended.

Then he becomes Electro and looks like Dr. Freezehattan.

His theme is good, but it is too good for such a poop of a character he is looking to be.

...why do people act like someone's parent forgetting their birthday is a trivial thing? I'd be pretty devastated if I woke up on my birthday and didn't hear from my parents. Sure it wouldn't send me on a rampage but the theme that you enjoy so much implies that Max Dillon is definitely not all there. He doesn't react like a rational human being because he isn't one.

Though I don't expect to convince of anything.

I don't care if it would affect a person in real life or not.

Some people will kill someone because someone called them a name.

Doesn't make a good motivation for a cinematic villain.

One of the highlights of the samples for sure.

You don't remember me, Spider-Man? In the biggest city in the world? You were supposed to understand....I'll make you understand....

not exactly i think that´s just the begging of how he goes bad. i think after him "not remembering him" he manages to calm him down and then this happens:

:whatever:

Why don't you wait until you see the movie before drawing comparisons?

I'd also like to point out that good ideas can still be executed badly. Just because Shumacher couldn't make it work doesn't mean Webb and co. can't. How can life be any fun being such a pessimist?

Lol. Cause yeah, it's been confirmed that that's EXACTLY how it happens. Keep on grasping at those straws bro

I'm a pretty optimistic person by nature so I can see this Max Dillon setup easily working out, but if I was the script writer I would've written it so that Max Dillon is a street crook with an inferiority complex much like Max Dillon had in the comics, and he owes kingpin/the big man/whomever a lot of money, so as Max has like semi cat burglar'ish skills he has learned on the street he is hired to infiltrate Oscorp to steal whatever and in some commotion accidentally falls into the electric eel tank, ala comicbook Joker.

the rest would be a blend of what actually happens in the movie and what could happen if his character was depicted as I mentioned. I'm not exactly a screen writer, but sometimes I feel that I could've written something better, especially in TASM1

You "feel" but you probably couldn't have. I don't mean to be an a** here, but I'm kind of tired of reading the same comments over & over again on the internet of people thinking they could have written a movie better. Those who say that have no idea what being a writer really means, it's easy to say that from an outsider perspective though, I get it.

That Electro remix..my word was that incredible or what! I want the soundtrack right meooowww!

Emma is just gorgeous.

Lucky I heard them all when I did, otherwise the wait really would be torture.

I count myself lucky as well - I interrupted a wine/ movie night with a few friends just to play the samples. They really didn't care but they feigned interest just to indulge me :D

Samples are gone?! Whoa. Haha. Wonder what happened there...

Not gonna lie, I listened at least three rounds. I'm definitely saving until the movie. I'll buy it if it's that good.
