If a mod feels the need to merge/close/delete this, I understand. However, I thought it would be nice if we had a topic dedicated to Heath Ledger's nominations and wins for his portrayal of The Joker in The Dark Knight. The topic is divided into three parts.

-Awards to be decided.
-Awards Heath has been nominated for and lost.
-Awards Heath has won.

If you see any award not listed, please let me know.

"Here's to Heath."

Lawl, after seeing that list all over the Oscar Push thread I was wondering when this would get made. Good work.

Also, does anyone know if the BAFTA Awards will be telecast live on television? If so, what time and station?

UPDATED: Heath Ledger won the Critics' Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Here are some pics from tonight's Critic's Choice award I thought are fitting to post here:

Chris Nolan accepted on Heath's behalf.

Thanks, Ferd .

Also, the Online Film Critics Society is supposed to announce their winners today (January 8th). Don't know when they propose to do that, but keep an eye out.

Its amazing that Heath won this AWARD with the critics choice awards, I just saw the replay, it was such an amazing feeling seeing Chris up there taking the award for Heath, his words were so genuine.

On a side note the best action picture award was pretty cool too, though I hate TDK being labeled as an action film, because I feel thats the last thing it is.

The People Choice Awards was an obvious outcome, but was also amazing, and made me very happy, TDK truly is the best comic book film of our time, and im proud to say that!

I love how everyone gave a standing ovation when he won for 'Best Supporting Actor' at the CCA. That was nice to see.

Anyone else see how Angelina Jolie had a few tears in her eyes when they spoke about him by the way?

I kinda noticed it a little bit to be honest, but she the last thing on my mind during that moment!

No, it's not the best. Batman Begins is just as good. :woot:

I am so happy to see TDK get so much recognition. What a great time to be a bat-fan! I hope this opens the way for other comic book movies to get more noticed as well.

I missed seeing Heath winning for best supporting actor. Hopefully it'll be on youtube soon.

I know it's just the CCA but that was beautiful yet bittersweet I couldn't help but tear up.

Same here, at that moment I was just thinking about Heath.

Does anyone have a video of the award being presented? I missed it when it was on last night

Wow, Nolan almost looked like he was going to tear up himself. I hope he accepts the Academy Award. I know there are calls for family to do it but I can't see them doing the acceptance speech justice like Nolan could. Plus, besides Ledger himself, he was arguably the most responsible for getting that award anyway.

WV has the video uploaded on rapidshare plus he says he will upload it to youtube as well. Keep checking here and in The Oscar Push! thread for updates.
