The Dark Knight Rises How Will The OSCARS effect Batman 3????

No sure if is the best place to post this but... if Nolan does a third film, it would be 2012 that it is released. Warner now adores Nolan. And Nolan's next film is a sci-fi epic titled "Inception" (also with Warner) for 2010 release. Putting the pieces together, if Nolan accepts a 3rd batman, no way in hell it is out before 2012. But since Chris is doing this "in-between" film also with Warner, bets are that they have total respect and confidence in NOT moving for ANY other director for any potential Batman 3.. other than Nolan. They just made a billion and will wait. He is who they want and will wait for.

slumdog millionaire won with an unknown cast and well deserved i might add. The ONLY film I did not agree with in the best picture category this year was The Reader. Saw it when it came out and I'm sorry to those who liked it but it was just holocaust porn with dramatic scenes integrated into it. The ending was horribly cliche and the story was dragging along throughout the entire film. The acting is where this film draws its power but best picture??Harvey Weinstein is the devil, that's the only lesson I took away from learning about this atrocious nomination.

Hi,

Well, Hugh Jackman during his opening musical poked fun at the fact that The Dark Knight wasn't nominated for best picture. With that said, it's obvious most people are aware of the snub and aware of the fact that The Dark Knight was a major critical and financial smash hit, an awards contender (at the Oscars, Globes, Directors/Producers Guild, etc.).... now that the Oscars is over and Heath Ledger won Best Supporting Actor, how will all the award recognition effect the production of Batman 3?

Hollywood Actors/Actresses will now look at Nolan's franchise as a "Award Generator"... meaning, for example, maybe they can play The Riddler and get a best supporting actor nod....or maybe Batman 3 will get nominated for Best Picture in 2011 and they can be attached to that film....

So what do you think?

-I think the casting of Batman 3 is CLEARLY going to reflect TALENTED-ACTORS... I don't mean "big names" but I do mean the acting caliber of Batman 3 is going to blow BB, TDK, Iron Man, and Iron Man 2 out of the water (the Iron Man film franchise seems to be emulating what Nolan started by having a top-rate cast for a superhero movie)....

How else will the award recognition effect the production of Batman 3?

NOTE: Let's assume there is NO JOKER RECAST. Let's assume there are ALL NEW VILLAINS IN BATMAN 3.

you're saying that Batman3 is Oscar bait? i find that hard to believe. if it gets nominated for the Oscars, its based entirely on its merit as a good movie, and not because it was made primarily with the Oscar voters and sensibilities in mind.

besides, actors who will want to work on Batman 3 will do so primarily because Christopher Nolan is directing it. its the primary reason Bale and the rest of the cast signed up back in BB, that and of course it was a really good script-- which was also written by Nolan.
