Speaking of Jay-Z, how much do you guys wanna bet that sometime next year (probably Summer) that Jay Z and Kanye will drop Watch the Throne 2 or whatever they call it. There have been rumors of them working on it for a bit.

Both Jay and Ye dropped their respective albums this year with little warning or hype. Jay bragged on twitter about "new rules." Recently Beyonce dropped her album with no hype or announcement.

I can really see them just dropping the album one day next year

I don't know how I missed Big KRIT's "King Remembered in Time" but yeah, album of the year for me.

Edit: yeah its a mixtape but who cares lol.

Best album of the year? I'm going with J Cole.

Probably my favourite too. I honestly enjoyed Eminem's new album quite a bit as well, after months of writing him off. With a couple of duds shaved off the tracklist it'd have been a contender.

What are people looking forward to in 2014?

Really hoping Bishop Lamont's "The Reformation" actually releases this year. I've been listening to him for years but still haven't had a single album I can own.

Quite optimistic about a new Slaughterhouse album. They seem to be aware just how badly the last one turned out, and from the bits and piece I've heard it sounds like they've gotten back on track.

Not sure what Nas has going on this year, but I expect at least a "20th Year" re-release of Illmatic. New album, Lost Tapes 2? I'd take it all.

Bishop Lamont dropped a street album like last week, call The (P)reformation. Check it out. But yeah, I can't wait for his debut.

Not really looking forward to the new Slaughterhouse after that last album.

Anybody listen too that Schoolboy Q - Break the Bank. Yeah he killed it and Alchemist on the beat too:woot:

I'm honestly looking forward to SchoolBoy Q's Oxymoron album the most. On his own tracks Schoolboy seems to be killing it but I sometimes question why he resorts to that lazy sounding flow when he's a feature lately

right I was listening to his whole Setback mixtape as well as the Black Hippy on repeat. I'm looking forward to get his album although it does seem his flow does sound chill on the verge of lazy at times.

New Pharoahe Monche joint "Bad Mother (bleep)er"...

I already have all their stuff but what the heck...now I won't have to rip the cds :word:

50 hasnt been good since Get rich or die trying. Seems like the start of rappers careers are always their best music because of their hunger, then with success they just write any dumb lyrics that come to mind just to make a buck.

Coming next Tuesday

GRODT is one of my favorite albums, but 50 hasn't been good/decent in while imo. His flow has been off and his beat selection has be limited to amateur producers/wack beats. I don't know but I have a good feeling about this song. I hope it's produced by Dre and I hope of this album 50 collabs with more artists

i'll have to check out black milk..
so much of what comes out nowadays is "mixtape/internet exclusive", I can scarcely keep up with what's an official album and what's not. Not to mention the fact that most of what I consider progressive/alternative rap isn't on the radio anymore.

Bought the new Weerd Science ep, Red Light Juliet: Broadcast 2 off bandcamp last week. Amazing little album

Don't know how I slept on ASAP Rocky this long, kid is dope. Stalley too.
