Has anyone here heard Chris Rivers' Wonderland of Misery mixtape?

One of my new favorite rappers.

Edit: Vic Mensa as well.

James Franco needs to show some respect to Yeezus. He parodied Kanye Bound 2 video. I didn't find it that funny, personally. Franco didn't have anything better to do. I'm sure Kanye didn't find this funny.

Who gives a **** if Kanye like it??!! It was ****ing hilarious! The song is the epitome of terrible too. "**** you hard on the kitchen sink, then make ya something to drink!"

Can't nobody touch them bars!! Smh

Can't believe nobody is talkin about Hopsin's new album Knock Madness after he leaked it yesterday. I've listened to about half of it so far, not feelin it nearly as much as RAW but his flow and lyrics are in point as always, just feels like the same stuff he been doing for the last couple years

You can't expect much growth with Hopsin. I mean, he has a fanbase and probably doesn't want to change much and keep everyone satisfied. I have no problem with that. He one of the best new artists out.

Personally, I like Knock Madness. A very solid album.

got links? where are these guys from, what are they about? how old are they?

I listen to a lot of underground rappers for better lyrics and music. Anyone ever heard of Shad? I first heard on Kanye West bound remix and now I'm turning into a fan.

QN5 Music is proud to announce the release of Tonedeff’s second installment of 4 stylistically unique EP’s that will be combined to form his forthcoming album, Polymer.
EP #2, entitled Demon, deals with the pressures and side-effects of anxiety, mortality and time-management over self-produced mid-tempo bounce tracks. Demon tackles an overwhelmed life a dazzling variety of tempos, flows genre-nods, such as the endurance-challenging title-track “Demon” in which Tonedeff attacks every 16th note for nearly 2 minutes straight in 6/8-time, tipping his hat at the trappings of modern Trap on “Use Me” and most notably, fans of Tonedeff’s infamous triple-time flow will be delighted as Demon contains the long-awaited recorded version of “Crispy” where he essentially puts Fast Rap in a body-bag for everyone’s benefit.
“I knew I was eventually going to have to give the fans an entire collection of fast raps, but I wanted to apply that stylistic approach to my aesthetic and life-experience to make it have a point,” Tonedeff says of the new release. “Time is my worst enemy, and I’m constantly locked in an epic battle with it to achieve all the things I want to do in this life, before it gets to me first. This record is a testament to that.”
Once again, the symbol-rich artwork for Demon was created by Eisner Award Winning illustrator Becky Cloonan, who will be illustrating the covers for entire Polymer series of EPs. All songs were written and produced by the multi-talented artist with additional vocals on “Demon” handled by Danish singer-songwriter, FJER. Demon is available digitally right now at Tonedeff.com in conjunction with pre-order packages for the final physically collected version of Polymer.

DEMON TRACKLISTING

2. Demon*
3. Crispy (192)
4. Use Me
5. Cinder
All Songs Written & Produced By: Tonedeff

ABOUT POLYMER
With the recent proliferation of the EP in the music world, Tonedeff set out to put a new thematic slant on the format by using each EP to showcase a different facet of his personality, which when collected, form a larger more cohesive unit.
Polymer will consist of 4 separate EPs. Each EP presents a different face or “molecule” of Tonedeff. (Think Voltron, but without the lions). Each EP will be denoted by the Polymer icon located on each cover, with a new molecule filled-in for each release. EP’s 1 through 3 will be released digitally, with the fourth exclusively available on the final assembled version of the physical collector’s edition of Polymer. All music on the project has been produced synthetically to follow along the idea of an actual Polymer’s synthetic structure.
Again, We’re only pressing what is pre-ordered – after that, all collector’s editions will be discontinued. Pre-Orders for Polymer are available now @ Tonedeff.com.

Chris Rivers is from the Bronx, he is actually the son of the most skilled rapper ever (imo) in Big Pun. He was homeless for a while, he's 19, and he just basically murders anything he is in. I can't post much videos because of language but I my favorite songs of his/songs he is featured in are "No More Games", "Lost", "Lyrical Catastrophy" "Innocence", a funny skit called "No Apologies", and this:

Vic Mensa is from Chicago. He has a much more laid back style:

Some other songs of his, "Hollywood LA", "Tweakin", and "Lovely Day".

Edit: he's 20.

I'll try to post some more underground rap for you guys.

Yeah, I've been a fan of Shad for a couple years:

Same here. I'd also include less commercial artists as well. I'm going to check out Shad.

One of my favorite rappers of all-time is this cat named Edan. He is f-ing ridiculous. I'd say my favorite would probably be Jay Electronica. And rounding out my top 3 would be MF Doom.

i hate to be "that guy" yall but please

do not post videos with profanity per the rules of the hype. thank you

I'ts hard to pick my favorite current rapper, but Alyssa Marie would be in my top 5:

I wouldn't call it the best but it's a dang good song. Haven't heard it in years, about to look it up to hear it again thanks for reminding me it exists.

Jay-z is the greatest of all time.
Heh, it's a cliche response but I'd say Nas.

They both got pretty formulaic once they hit their stride though.

Objectively, I can say that Pac kills them both lyrically, but Nas has been my favorite since Live at the BBQ.

Nas is my favorite too, but Jay-z just makes better music if I'm judging honestly.

Fair enough, and that's my take on it with regard to Pac as well.
