IMO we could be at a stage where fan sites deliberately look for wild ideas suggested by these group of fans and make negative headlines about it for clicks, kinda like WB and its 200 movies in development articles

I've heard 2-3 out of 5 already. Yes Gyllenhaal is being eyed because of Reeves (through Campea because he broke the news first), though Jon Hamm has expressed interest and is a better choice.

I'm really hoping he's right on all of these, but especially number 4. An extended cut of JL really needs to happen, not because they screwed up on that film, with proof seen and revealed to us; but fixing the film, like having Hamada on DCF as our own Feige, would be one of major signs WB needs to have to show they are fixing their mistakes, but also, to be redeemed.

So, according to some sources, it looks like we're getting an Extended Cut with 15 mins of additional footage.

Extended cut wont do it for me. There isn't much you can do with an extended cut other than add on to areas where reshoots weren't made. Hopefully they release a bunch of deleted scenes and someone gives us a fancut of the film.

'Extended Cut' is probably Whedon's Cut that existed before WB asked Whedon to further reduce the runtime to 121 min.

Some of Snyder's scenes may appear in the release as Deleted scenes.

Not necessarily. I'm assuming 90-95% of whatever Whedon shot is in the film. Probably most of the deleted stuff put back is Snyder's that was cut for time. Nothing that will contradict the narrative or reshot/alternate footage will not be put back in. And it will still have Elfman's score and the ugly color grading and bad cgi. I say they should just release ALL DELETED scenes at this point, like the ones leaking with incomplete CGI(Avengers did similarly I remember). So that fans put back in the stuff they want, and create a cut they want.

I'm guessing they told Whedon to shoot 2 hr so most of what he shot were included in the film, they just didn't have time to finish the VFX properly.

So if they put back 20min of Cyborg, AM and Flash's backstory, that'll be Zack's.

It'd be ultra stupid $$ wise to hire Whedon to shoot 20-30min for a 140min film, then tell him to cut another 20min including his own stuff afterwards. But who knows, WB has been stupid throughout this production lol.

Honestly, IF there is an extended edition that ever comes out, I will only buy it IF it restores Superman's deleted scenes where he goes back to retrieve his suit and meets with Alfred. Anything else is a plus for me.

I don't think so, since the climax we got was vastly different than what Snyder originally shot.

The rumor is only 15 minutes of added material. Hinds said Steppy was much more fleshed out than what we've got in the TC, there was a lot more of Cyborg footage, some Aquaman stuff, all those trailer scenes... 15 minutes in not enough and now imagine some of that could be more Whedon stuff.

I would have been more excited if it was like 20 or 25 minutes longer but 15 minutes is still a considerable amount. For reference, the whole warehouse fight was less than 3 minutes.

Yeah I'm interested to see the scenes, so when it pops up on YT(flashback fm is a good channel for instant uploads at good quality), I'll watch it. They are available very fast, so yeah. No way I'm supporting that **** by buying it. Not after knowing what WB pulled.

Well if you want a Snyder cut not buying this cut won’t help at all. They will be even less likely to spend the money on an another cut of JL if they don’t make much on Home Video.

Just curious, was Watchmen a high seller on home video? I'm assuming it must have been with all the re-releases they did with it.
